Accurate, Durable, Groovy January 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this gun for a gift over the holidays. It works very well, and as it says, it's very tough. This marker has some heft to it, but feels really good. The stock is very useful in keeping your aim steady. The trigger is the only thing I'm going to change sometime , maybe this summer. Mainly because it squeaks slightly(though you can't possibly notice it with CO2 blasting) and it has some side-to-side movement though not much.
Overall: Very good gun for the price. Though not electronic, the semi-only action saves you air/paint as well as the need of a charged battery.

heres the thing i bought a brand new Spyder MR1 and when i connected my 20oz C02 tank the trigger barrel and the bold spued frozen C02 all over my hands and legs after suffering from freezer burns i sent it back then i bought a tippmann A-5 not only does it feel better but it is more mod-able it has the same mods but better and tippmann is better known by local repair men and even the manuel is better is has a *FULL* list of the parts save yourself money(in the long run), time and even your skin from peeling skin. a word for the wize wear gloves when you put your C02 tanks on your crappy MR1s

the best gun i have ever had!! April 11, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
i just used kids review cause i dont have a membership, but dont get me wrong the MR1 is one of the best guns out there.
Strengths: shoots unbelivable straight, has a good solid stock, aiming system, not very heavy (MR2 is a heck of a lot heaveir), and will shoot as fast as you do.
Weaknesses: the only one i could think of is that you cant put a scope on because the attachment thing is only 2-3in.
Up-grades: if you can find a scope to fit on it then get it, also a longer barrel. i have an 18in and it only helps a little at the very end of the shot.
Over all the Mr1 is a good sturdy gun for a sniper or to just shoot every one up with.
happy paintballing!
Kingman Spyder MR1 March 25, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
-strengths- accurate stock barrel comfortable doesn't chop paint
-Weaknesses- grip wears out quick scope mount is too short to put a scope on.
-reccomended upgrades- maybe a new barrel, but the stock barrel is accurate a hopper feeding at least 5bps
-review- This gun has been the best paintball gun I have ever shot. I have used a Tippman 98 and guns from more lower end companies and this gun is by far the most accurate, reliable, and comfortable of all of them. At 80ft this gun shoots within a 7 in circle with Hot Spot paintballs!
