Performance is awesome with the E-grip. February 23, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The E-grip is the first upgrade I would recommend for the Tippmann A-5 (the second being the Flatline barrel). The electronic trigger has a good feel and is faster and easier to fire than the stock trigger. I love the automatic modes, especially 3 shot burst. That's the best of both worlds, in my humble opinion. For example, in 3 shot burst mode, if you press the trigger once and hold it, only one shot will fire. If you pull the trigger more than once with less than a second between trigger pulls, it will initiate the 3 shot burst. If you then speed up your firing, the gun will fire fully automatic, almost like "Turbo mode" (another AWESOME mode). Anyways, back on subject here.....get this upgrade if you have the A-5 marker. The only complaint I have is the LEDs and power button could be positioned better. The button and LED is located just below the trigger, on the grip. You need an allen wrench or small tool to turn it on or change the mode. The mode change is only identified by a blinking orange light. Minor complaints aside....buy the E-grip!!

It does exactly what it advertises and so far has not let me down. You can select between multiple fire modes witch is rather simple using the tool but the angle is a little strange. Adjusting the rate of fire is difficult, but once the tool is set in the groove it is easy to turn and adjust. I think it was definitly worth it, although a little expensive. The only reason I gave it four and not five stars was the annoyance of adjusting the rate of fire which I only did once, so I guess unless you adjust your rate of fire a lot then it isnt really a problem.

An excellent upgrade to the A-5. The electronic trigger assembly installs in just minutes. The trigger pull is lighter and faster than the standard trigger. Con (minor)-wish it were a little easier to change settings with marks to easily identify what the settings are.
