5 out of 5 stars Best Price. Even Better Performance.   May 23, 2007

Started to get into paintball about 6 years ago. Since then haven't made to many upgrades to my Tippmann 98 Customer. Started playing again and found I needed to make some ajustments. The flatline barrel was deffinatley the best upgrade for my gun, now instead of dropping off after about 30-40 yards the balls just go...and keep going.

First the tippmann is the only gun i will consider my buddies all have spiders and i whip them every time. This Barrel made it so it isnt even fair i can shoot farther and more accurate than any of the guys.example i was in the pretty thick woods and a guy was hiding behind a log he was trying to shoot me but couldnt get through the brush the flat line put 3 pain balls right into him no problem. and all of them broke. im using pretty cheap paint from walmart the pink paint balls are the best dont be fooled by there color they shoot pretty strait and have a thick shell so the wont break in the barrel ive shoot about 3,0000 paint balls through this barrel and broke only one. you need to stop and squeege the barrel quick or your accuracy will be gone but this is a awsome addition to my tippmann highly recommend it you will dominate

2 out of 5 stars Tippmann Flatline Barrel   February 2, 2007

This barrel is very popular,so I purchased it too. At first I was very pleased when I went off into the woods by myself to shoot targets at all different ranges. Until my step-son went with me, he was using the same Tippmann 98c as I was same compressed air tank & Custom Parts 16" barrel. We
both stood in the same spot & fired one shot each at a time at the same targets. At approx. 75' garbage pail lid hanging from a tree I hit it two out of ten shots & he hit it 5 out of ten shots. I know what your thinking he's a
better shooter (wrong). We switched guns with same results I now hit target 5 out of ten shots & he hit two out of ten shots. Therefore I don't recommend Flatline more distance so what if accuracy gets even worse!

this barrel greatly increases ur range by about 100 ft.
it works best around 240-285 fps (im not sure about 240 but im certain about 285) u might want 2 buy this from a store though so u can see it and make sure its not messed up. it also makes ur gun a little bigger. i personaly think ur tippmann will look cooler with this barrel.o ya and get more exensive paint(better quality or the paintballs will chop). it would be more expensive if u got it at a store but it would be worth it 2 no it is in new condition and not broken.
*Note- i do not acually own this product. this information is based on
what other people have told me and what i have read about it.

I bought my flatline about a year ago and it hasn't been working out for me. I checked all the troubleshooting sites and checked everything but my gun is still chopping paintballs. I'm going to sell it and get a stiffi 16" barrrel. Also I agree with the guy about people bragging about all the paintball crap they get for christmas!
