 Disappointing November 7, 2008
The experience you get with these earphones will depend a lot on the anatomy of your ear lobes. My experience was very disappointing. The fit was uncomfortable and the sound was quiet and tinny. Swapping between the supplied rubber parts did nothing to improve the fit or the sound. I am considering returning the MX55s, but for the price I wonder if it is worth the effort.
 A great set of earbuds at an attractive price November 5, 2008
I've had so much trouble getting my iPod headphones that I got with the iPod to stay in my ears at the right angle when I'm out walking or doing things around the house. I had purchased a couple different brands over the years but either they didn't stay in place or if they did, the sound quality wasn't as good as the original. These earbuds fill the bill on both counts - they stay in place with a little twist and the sound quality is as good as my original Apple earbuds that came with the iPod. They're also very comfortable, more so than any other earbuds I've tried so far.
So I have to say that these headphones do everything they're advertised to do and you sure can't beat the price.
 Great sound - a little scary November 5, 2008
I purchased this product to listen to music / watch videos while on my bicycle trainer. My setup requires me to plug it at the back of my computer
The sound is great and the retention mechanism works as advertised.
The length of the cable is a little on the short side, but that may depend a lot on the use you plan for your product. More importantly, after working a good sweat I am sorry to report I got shocked. The headphones started buzzing and I felt a minor, but very clear, electric shock. Needless to say, the headphones went flying and have not been used since. People might point out that the likely culprit is my computer, not the headphones. All I can tell you is that the experience was a little scary.

They stay in great while jogging - no other earphone has worked this well. Putting them on took some getting used to but I wouldn't wear anything else now! I'm buying more for holiday gifts!
Addons are easily lost November 3, 2008

After the first day running one of my ear buds popped out of my ear and the little green disk went flying. The next day I went running (now using another set of green disks) I took off the ear buds after my work out the green ring surrounding the bud itself came off and summarily fell into a storm drain... Customizable but the parts easily come off and can be lost.
