Great snorkel set January 21, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this set for my wife for our trip to Cozumel, Mexico and the split fins seemed to work very well. A big plus was the carry bag- it is very spacious, includng a special pouch for a water bottle on the outside. The only drawback is that the mask inluded with this set seemed to have a bit of a limited viewing area in comparison to others out there and my wife did have some suction issues with it.

If your looking for cheap snorkel equipment this is the way to go, but the fins are low quality and I would only wear them if I wanted to get laughed at.
Break In and Works Good January 15, 2007 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I am new to snorkeling and was going to Aruba and Curacao on a cruise. I had previously bought a mask elsewhere due to concerns about fit on my moustache. I tried the set out in a local pool a few times before the cruise. The first time I used the other mask and I wore socks under the flippers to prevent chaffing. The snorkel seemed to flood with every lap. When I kicked harder, the fins came loose. I quit after 30 minutes or so.
The second time, I vigorously blew out the snorkel when it started to flood, and it stopped flooding. Also, I used the Madera mask with lip balm on the moustache and it worked fin. I still wore the socks and still had the fins coming loose when I kicked hard to swim fast, rather than just crawling, but I lasted about an hour.
When I went to Aruba and Curacao I abandoned the socks, and the fins did not come loose when I kicked hard. The snorkel stayed dry and I continued to vigorously blow it out after diving and that may have helped. The bag worked well, as a bag in the hand, and it can be worn on the back. I rinsed the equipment and let in dry in the bag when I was on the boat.
All in all I found this to be a great value for someone starting out, such as myself.
Great value January 3, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great value for the money. I was looking for a set with silicon mask and found this bargin. Tried it in Hawaii and satisfied with performance. I am going to get my kids their own set for a planned trip to Hawaii.
The fins are fantastic! November 5, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased this snorkel equipment for a vacation in Aruba and I used it for 4 days of snorkeling. I had always rented snorkel gear before and this was the first time I decided to purchase a set. I am very pleased with this purchase. The fins are fantastic. The design of this fin from US Divers with the split in the middle makes it extremely easy to move through the water - it's a great design feature! The snorkel mask was comfortable and it never leaked. The set also comes with a great blue and gray backpack that you can store all of your gear in.
