kayak carrier April 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was extremely pleased with the fast service this company provided. The item was just what I wanted at a decent price. I am not a frequent user of the internet for purchases, so I was extremely pleased with everything involved. I would not hesitate buying anything I needed from this company. I knew I had few problems, when I saw it was provided by Amazon.
I did make one change in using the product. I used shock cords instead of the straps provided. It worked fine. I was able to transport my kayak, and a inflatable raft a quarter of a mile easily, in one trip.
quality control needed April 5, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Product was shipped in a badly broken box with parts missing. Ultimately (and willingly)resolved by Amazon and Pacific Outdoors, but it would have been nice for them to do it right the first time. Also, the addition of a cable, which I suspect was motivated by the fabric strap not being sturdy enough, is not represented in the pictures of the product.
Works great! February 8, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I recently bought a Adventure 14 Mad River canoe and needed a way to get it to the water other than carrying it. It weights 75lbs. This carrier works really well and makes the job much easier. Great storage capabilities also because it folds up neatly. It is made of aluminum (weather risistant) and is very sturdy. It takes a little practice getting it loaded, but once you learn, it's easy.
Great cart and good value January 28, 2008 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
I bought this carrier as a gift for my friend who owns a house across the street from a lake. Before having a cart, she had to wait to have someone else around to help her get her kayak across the street and into the lake. She has a large 2 man sit on top. I was concerned about the wheels being satisfactory because the lake is surrounded by sandy beach. She was able to get the kayak onto the cart herself and easily cart it to the water's edge. The wheels made it through the sand just fine.
kayak cart September 18, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
the cart is sturdy in construction and looks good. The only drawback is the kickstand. it is short so it does not let the cart remain level but tilted about 30 degree forward (down). other then that it is a good kayak cart.
