I have only had the Yaktracs for a short time & it consistently slips off my boots & I have slipped & fell once when wearing them.

Great for winter running January 13, 2008
I have been an avid year-round runner for over 6 years. I always found winter running to be very uncomfortable due to the lack of traction (I live in the Colorado mountains). I found Yak Trax 2 years ago and now feel totally comfortable running over hard-packed snow and ice! They have never come off during a run, and I don't slip and slide anymore. Highly recommended for any outdoor winter enthusiast.

When I first got these, they looked too wimpy to be effective. I am surprised at how easy they slip onto your shoes and they really do keep you from slipping on ice. Weirdly enough, they are a little slippery on bare concrete.
