Out of all the shinai I have seen, these are pretty good. The leather at the tip could be a bit tighter I think. Thats its only downfall. It still holds together pretty well none the less. Also, for the price I would suggest getting these.

Bamboo swords are well made with sturdy bindings and real leather covered hilts.
they stand up well to rigorous practice.

Great use for five minutes then one broke. Having use Kendo Shinai bamboo swords before I would not suggest these and only bought them as I had a $25 dollar gift certificate to get rid of.
