Just know that these are big heavy pocket knives. They are on the big side for keeping in the pocket, but I love it. These are just great knives, as time has shown.

3 out of 5 stars oldie   August 18, 2008

I got one of these knives from my grand father and My dad when I was a kid. I still have this knife and keep it in my living room to open packages and stuff. How ever I wouldent realy by another one except maby for a kid because it takes a Long time to get it to where you dont need 2 hands to open it. it is also heavy in your pocket and with no clip it clunks around with your keys and stuff. The brass can corrode some times too. This knife is a classic and good for a boyscout or something like that but for adults who want to carry their knives alot and not have to be forced to use two hands to open there are many better alternatives. Though this knife is well made and WILL last for years and years without batting an eyelash.

5 out of 5 stars a fine knife   December 28, 2007

I'm very pleased with this knife. It's big and substantial, so I'm not worried about using it on heavy tasks. It opens easily, and is quite sharp.

It's large enough that it wouldn't be comfortable in a pocket. When you order the kife it comes with a leather sheath that goes on your belt-- so don't buy the sheath as a separate item, as Amazon invites you to do.

5 out of 5 stars Totally reliable Classic!   December 2, 2007

I received my 110 as a gift from co-worker in 1979. It's still sharp, clean and closes tight as a drum. Opening and closing remind one of closing the door on an old Caddie or MB - SOLID!
It's a knife you can bet your life on and so will your Grandkids.

5 out of 5 stars Not my first Buck knife   November 10, 2007

This is my fourth Buck knife, my second Buck lockback folder. I had my suspicions about Amazon trying to sell the leather sheath as an accessory item. The product description says the knife comes with a sheath and that has always been my experience with Buck products. I ordered the knife, thinking if I really needed to order the sheath as a separate item I could do it later. As I thought, the knife came in its original Buck box with the leather sheath. Unless you just want an extra sheath lying around you can just order the knife and not worry about it. The knife is the usual high quality I have come to expect from Buck products. I also own the 112 lockback folder, and the 119 and 120 fixed blade knives. (The 120 is no longer listed on the Buck web site and may have been discontinued.)
