Upper rating for upper body workout August 18, 2008 The CF Door Gym is a great product. It doesn't require drilling/screwing anything into any doorways, taking up a closet, or anything of that nature. Just set it on top of the framing of the doorway and get your workout in, then take it down when you're done. This makes the upper body workout much more attainable and doesn't make any room more ugly because of it.
Very, very pleased with this product!
Excellent product!!! Highly recommended! August 14, 2008 Okay, I just got this today and absolutely love it. You put it in a door way and you are good to go, simple as that. Putting it on and removing it is a breeze. Its pretty sturdy as well, you won't have to worry about it breaking during use. One fault I had with was the instructions which were absolutely horrible. I don't know why the directions couldn't have been made a little clearer. However, once you get it assembled it is an amazing product! Highly recommended!!
Works Great August 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this item for my husband because he wanted to start working out more, especially on his upper body. It latches onto the door without having to mess up the walls or anything, and it is STURDY. it is also very easy to remove, I've done it several times (cause he forgets to take it down!)He said he really enjoys using it.
Get a different pull up bar August 2, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this because I was starting P90X. After a few weeks of doing pull ups on this, I was getting sick of this bar. If you are going to do P90X, find a site that is selling the bar for $6 more and buy it (extremely-fit).
Stay away from this if you are going to do P90X and if you are going to be serious about doing pull ups. This has 2 sets of grips; 1 pretty close in, and ones that are coming out towards you if you are looking at the picture. There is no wide/wider grip. So if you try to do the wide front pull ups in P90X, you'll have a tough time holding on to the bar.
Don't get me wrong, this bar is sturdy, light weight, and good for 3 different kinds of pull ups: front, reverse-grip, and side grip. Where as if you go with the P90X bar, you get 5 pairs of grips and 7 (maybe more) different pull ups.
I gave this a 4/5 stars because it's a good alternative to the pull up bars you screw into the door frame (though, this may make a mark on your wall). But comparing this to the P90X bar, it would receive a 2 out of 5.
Great chin up bar... August 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Door Gym is a great chin up bar, especially if you rent. Since it mounts on the door without any hardware, it wont leave any marks. Plus, even without permanent hardware, it feels very solid (I weigh 210 lbs.). Having never done chin ups before, I could only do 1-2 at a time at first. A month later, and I'm up to 6-7 at a time. Overall, the Door Gym is a great product and an excellent way to get an upper body workout when you can't make it to the gym.
