Good for Long Flights March 13, 2008 I have used this pillow on several 20+ hour flights and I was quite satisfied. I though it was uncomfortable at first, but that was because I had over-inflated the pillow. After letting out a bit of the air, I found it to be quite comfortable. Whether you tilt your head back or to the side, the pillow is soft and supportive. I especially like it because you can deflate and easily stow it when you are not using it.
It's not that great! March 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I looked at several travel pillow reviews and this pillow outranked them all. It is a very light and durable pillow for a good price, but it is not comfortable. It is extremely easy to blow up and deflate, but still not very comfortable. My father bought a pillow from Bed, Bath, and Beyond for $12 and it was much more comfortable than this one. In the end, nothing beats a nice comfy fleece jacket that you can smoosh and contort. If you must buy a travel pillow then I recommend going to a store and trying it out. Thanks and I wish you better luck than I had.
A great deal, and fantastic flying companion. February 22, 2008 This unit is excellent. I have used it for 8 months so far on several trips to Asia (from US). It allows you to sleep in a position that will not cause neck strain. It also keeps you in a fairly upright position in your seat so you can sleep comfortably - this is because you are not susceptible to falling over when you fall asleep.
It folds very easily into it's self contained pocket and can be carried in a laptop bag.
Excellent neck pillow February 13, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This pillow is very well made, very quick and easy to inflate and deflate and feels nice and soft against your skin. It is exactly as it was described in the details.
Unfortunately, it doesn't really suit me. I found it pushed my head too far forward at the back, so I had to deflate it a little bit, and it made me too hot - although that particular flight was a bit hot in general. I think I would prefer one that is flat at the back of the neck and just inflated at the sides...
Otherwise, if this is the style you like, it is the perfect pillow. I think it's just a case of personal preference, really.
Great for planes and hotel to prevent neck pain November 7, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The material is soft and fleecy and it folds into fourths and tucks into a built-in pocket. It blows up quickly in a few breaths. On the plane, it does a good job preventing your head from falling over too much when you blow the pillow up pretty fully.
At home, I have a special chiropractic pillow which provides provides a good angle for my neck and head which eliminates neck pain, headaches, and reduces my mild sleep apnea. The pillow has a concave area for my head to rest in it with support for my neck. Unfortunately, it takes too much room in a suitcase and normal hotel pillows cause me bad neck pain and headaches.
My chiropractor recommended my using a neck pillow as a bed pillow for when I traveled. It works great!!!!! No neck pain! I blow it up a lot less than for the plane, so I have just a little support under my neck. I sleep with my neck against the bottom of the "U" and my head cradled between the legs of the "U," just pull them open a bit. It is a really handy, convenient, small pillow. I get twice as much use out of my pillow and the bright blue color helps me remember to take it off the bed so I don't leave it there. The compact pillow size might not work as well for this.
I love my Eagle Creek pillow and would get another!
