4 out of 5 stars Awesome tent for the price   August 18, 2008
We took this tent to Yosemite for its first adventure. It sprinkled while we were there and we stayed dry. The rain fly provides great extra storage space too. The tent easily held a full-size air mattress and a little gear. It is a little tricky to set up the first time (several poles and two people needed), but setting up the second time is a lot easier. It came with a cup holder and several storage compartments which came in handy. I would highly recommend getting better stakes though...and also when you're putting on the rain fly be sure to get it lined up correctly otherwise the stakes don't go in quite right. The other really cool thing...the zippers glow in the dark! :-)

Nice but it took us a while to set up. It will be helpful if the instruction more clearly. The tent is really neat and meet our expecations, in a nice price!

This tent is excellent. Very durable and sturdy, easy to set up and easy to put back in the package.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome tent, great price   August 12, 2008

Wow, when I bought this tent in mid-July it was only $51.58 with free shipping. I'm so glad I didn't go with a cheapey tent. Interesting design. Very roomy for two people plus gear. I'm sure we can squeeze in three if necessary. Have not tested in the rain yet. Good ventilation options and the rain fly gives you a little awning at the front entrance of the tent. Easy to set up-- my boyfriend did it without any help from me, as I was building the fire.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent tent for the money   July 26, 2008

This tent is the best tent I have every used! First off, it is easy to set up. I practiced in the back yard, like you should always do with a new tent, and using the instructions, had it up in less than 7 minutes. After that, it was a breeze. The poles are either color coded or different lengths to know where they go. It is so much simpler (and sturdier) than the two-pole dome tents. I am a Scout leader, so the first time I used it was for a 3-night campout shortly after buying it. The second night we got rained on and I got to test the rain fly. We were in a downpour for over 45 minutes and the inside of the tent stayed bone dry. The vestible and flaps over the windows roll back, so when it is not raining the tent can be open for more air circulation. When I first saw the material of the tent, I was afraid it would rip easily, but although it feels (and sounds) almost like paper, it is pretty strong material. The storage bag is very roomy, too. My other tents I have had needed to be rolled as tightly as possible and still I had to squeeze them in their bags. This one comes with an expandable duffle bag and is very easy to fit everything into. All in all, I believe this tent is worth the $160 dollars they have as the retail price, and definitely a great bargain at less than 1/2 the price that it is selling for.
