  Sigg water bottle March 31, 2008
Great water bottle. Absolutely no taste added by the bottle. I had previously tried supposedly no leaching plastic bottles, but they imparted a noticable taste. Only problem is the small top which makes the bottle more difficult to clean than wide mouth bottles.

I bought this after reading how bad plastic bottles really are to the environment. Sigg makes an awesome bottle and the variety of designs made it all the more desirable. Plus, it is nice to know I am helping the environment and am saving money by not buying all those plastic bottles!

I love this bottle because it's not plastic, it adds no metallic taste to my water, the mouth is large enough to make it easy to drink from (especially when you're tired from working out), and the orange color is cool. It fits easily in my car's cup holder as well as in the bottle holders of my lumbar pack and backpack. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the metal dents easily. I dropped it the first time out and put a little dent in the bottom. Two more things: I love the loop at the top (I use it to carry the bottle sometimes); and while the opening is too small for standard-sized ice cubes, it's large enough for the smaller cubes

This bottle kicks ten kinds of a**. I bought it for my g-friend as a b-day gift (I know, I'm a cheap man). Nonetheless, she praised it to the high heavens. I took into account the other reviews and FAQ's about the bottle (don't pour in boiling hot water, blah, blah, blah), which is probably important stuff. I must admit the water from this thing tastes awesome. Even if it is tepid, it still tastes as though it is cool, making it very refreshing, not unlike the feeling you get from those sweet, sweet Junior Mints. I assume if you don't do anything retarded with it and simply use it as it is intended to be used, you'll do fine. Big ups for Sigg!

This is an upscale designer water bottle, top of the line, and so much fun. The designs of Sigg's water bottles are gorgeous, from the plain, solid color bottles, to the ones with intricate designs. They are simply beautiful! I switched from regular plastic water bottles because of health concerns, thinking it would take more work to maintain. These do necessitate regular cleaning (I clean mine every day), but having something so beautiful to drink from makes the cleaning fun. Sort of like my rings, glasses, and watch, I now consider my Sigg personal water bottle a vital accessory, reminding me to drink more water, making a statement about my values, and expressing myself with a special design. Yes, all in a water bottle!
Sigg of Switzerland water bottles are very high quality, made of light aluminum on the outside, slightly insulated, and covered with a special powder coat on the inside that prevents any leaching whatsoever, unlike plastic and polycarbonate water bottles. They are light, durable, and perfect for any activity. Well water tastes spectacular in these bottles, just like from the tap.
Sigg bottles come with several different types of tops. I bought the screw top because I don't like sports tops, and I don't mind unscrewing the top when I want a drink. It is totally leak-proof, which is important to me. The top is pretty and can be hooked onto a carabiner. I get comments on it all the time, "What's that? I love it!" The sports top version is ok; I just am not a fan, as I don't feel like I can get enough water from the little stream from the sports top. However, for convenience, you might prefer it. For children, there is a cap-type top. All are leak-proof. If you like the design and size but prefer a different top, you can buy a screw top separately to fit your Sigg bottle.
Pick a style and pattern you like, as this bottle is a personal accessory, and should reflect your style. The colors are vibrant and even prettier than they seem in the pictures on Amazon.
One consideration in case you are buying this Sigg bottle for your children: They do dent, but I and others regard this as a type of "seasoning" affecting only the appearance, since the dents do not go through to the inside of the bottle or affect the inside at all.
They are expensive, but they are so durable that you can plan on them lasting many years. I consider them both an accessory and an investment in my health, so they are well worth it value-wise for me.
Highly recommended.
