Do you feel lucky? January 1, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Quality control is not great for LPEGs (low priced electric guns) and you may luck out and get a fairly good one. Or not. I got a lemon; barely shoots at all. Airsplat's returns policy makes it not worth even fooling with trying to send it back. I'll just toss it and chalk it up to an expensive lesson - and that lesson is:
DO NOT BUY A CHEAP ELECTRIC GUN.
Even if you get one that seems pretty good, it will not last. Ultra cheap components and slap-dash "craftmanship" do not spell longevity. Figure on at least $100 for a usable, fairly rugged gun. If TM, CA, or ICS are out of your budget, look at JG/GB/ECHO 1 (best I can tell, they are all made by the same company) or UTG.
Can I Get Some Help November 6, 2007 Hey, I just bought this gone and recieved it yesterday. It worked fine when I put it together but when I got home from school today it had some problems. (No one else messed with it I'm sure) It stopped shooting. Following the reviews on here I charged it and it sounded fine and worked again. But one problem, it isnt shooting BB's. Im using the exact same kind that I used the day before that worked and the clip is in right but its not shooting any BB's. This is my first real airsoft gun and it looks great and got alot of good reviews, but I dont know whats wrong. Please help me out.
Great buy August 18, 2007 This gun is definitly worth the price. very powerful at 300 fps, but the clip is a bit shallow.
Overall a decent gun, has internal issues though. June 26, 2007 This is the first LPEG I ever got and at first it worked great. It feeds really well (till you get near the bottom of the clip) and it shoots fast and far. At a distance the bbs will start to curve (but then again most, if not all, low powered guns do) so accuracy isn't the greatest, but it's not terrible either.
The reason I give it a three though is after a while (like, maybe 3 or 4 games)the gun would just stop shooting (this happened on both my gun and my friend's gun) so we had to take them apart and figure out what was wrong with them. It turns out the thing that makes the electrical connection got pushed out of the way so we had to move it back into place. So I won't be surprised if I have to do it again later on. Unfortunately for my friend, after fixing his in this manner the gun has trouble shooting properly and shoots maybe at half the normal velocity. Although that could just be due to a mistake while fixing it, but the point is you shouldn't have to take it apart to fix it in the first place, in my opinion.
Also the instuctions I got with it don't tell you how long to charge the battery for. I had to go on the internet and learn how to determine how long it takes to charge by dividing some number on the charger by another number on the battery or something like that (I can't remember). Anyways, I determined it takes about 3 hours to charge fully.
So I guess if you like taking things apart to fix them then this will be the perfect gun for you! Or if you know someone who likes taking things apart to fix them.
Great power for the price May 29, 2007 [Penny's son...] This is probably the most powerful airsoft gun you can get for under 40 bucks... hurts like crazy when you get shot with it, it's far more powerful than any other gun in the $20-30 range(I've seen quite a few).
It's also relatively accurate and realistically heavy. Also has some random features that add to the realism (folding front grip, simulated charging handle)
Downsides: Scope is nothing more than a tube, but a real scope would cost more than the gun. The battery drains quickly, not surprising given the power of the thing compared to other cheap guns. The magazine capacity is very small. GET ANOTHER MAG if you plan to go to any sort of airsoft war with this sucker, get more speed loaders, too, if you don't have any.
When it's battery is out, it feels like it's jammed, but just charge it and you should be OK
