Sigg water bottle August 16, 2008 This water bottle is remarkably light weight. It keeps water cooler for longer and cools faster than water in a plastic bottle. However, I have found that after the cool water warms up, after sitting for a few hours, it starts to taste foul. I'm not sure why but it sort of defeats the purpose of using it on a long hike or keeping it with you all day. If you are able to clean it out frequently then the product is fantastic. Otherwise it's just a can of funky water.
Not too functional August 3, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Wish I'd paid more attention to the reviewer who warned that the bottle opening was too small to fit an ice cube in it, as I don't usually have time to chill my water . I've had it 2 mos and the vinyl covering is already peeling off-- this may bother some. I'm not sure if aluminum is the most ideal material anyway for a bottle --wasn't there some controversy with aluminum a few years ago? The instructions do warn not to use with acidic liquids.I'm back to using my wide mouthed freebie plastic bottle. My opinion--it is not worth the money and If you can find a generic one cheaper-go for it.
Lovely bottle-too many restrictions July 23, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this bottle as a safe and attractive alternative to plastic. I was surprised by all the "don'ts". As for the do not use boiling water or freeze-that makes sense but the "only use ready to drink" item got to me. I use a lot of individual Crystal Light type mixes and I cannot use them in this bottle. Very pricey for what it can deliver.
My favorite pretentious water item July 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'll admit that I own one of these in the red pattern. It holds enough water for a little while, though I had to upgrade to the larger size. The inside coating feels solid and emits no taste at all. The outside is beautiful and durable. I love the laser etching of the pattern and people comment on how pretty it is. The loop handle is nice because this thing is simple to grab with a pinky or any free digit, and the rubber washer helps prevent water from leaking when the top is closed (I've never had a leak).
Sure, twenty bones is steep for a water bottle when you can get a case of water at the grocery store for less than five and just reuse those bottles virtually forever. But if you're a hipster and need to feel like you're saving the world or a tree-hugger who really wants to make a fashion statement with their beverage, and you don't mind spending money to do that, go ahead and buy this bottle. I know I did!

Sigg water bottles are definatly the best. They do not have a metalic taste, nor does it leach into your water. Our family has four of these bottles so far and we love them. Big hint, do not let your children put them in the freezer. They WILL split.
