5 out of 5 stars Best gun 4 ANYONE   June 13, 2008
This gun is amazing i got it 2 replace my old spyder sonic. Its is simply devastating!!!. I tricked it out with a 14'inch barrel (flatline barrels are inaccurate) and it is the most amazing thing. Only down side is the cyclone feed hopper system uses CO2 so u need a 20-32 oz tank min. It is also pretty robust its never jammed before and has taken several direct hits its just fine.

P.S. my name isnt L lauer

5 out of 5 stars AK-47 of paintball markers   May 12, 2008
If you play woods-ball or scenario's the A-5 is hard to beat. In stock configuration it is highly dependable. It can be modified to look like anything you want other than a chrome plated speed-ball marker. The rate of fire is lower than many of the popular speed-ball markers and it is the loudest marker that I have used. If you want a marker that is more like a real rifle the A-5 is it. I have had mine for 3 years with no problems.

5 out of 5 stars I think is very good   May 3, 2008
This gun is about the best gun you can get for this price since the only thing that went bad in mine was that there is a small plastic piece to have the cyclone feeder spin that cracked which I did not know so i took it to the store and fixed in twenty minutes plus they put in a metal piece in my gun making it so that it would not happen again for $32.oo or the guy said he could put in a new plastic piece that was only a $1.50.
And the only other bad thing that is not that bad is that if you use co2 the gun will eat it up in a couple of rounds but that mainly because I use a 12oz for my gun. So I personaly think you should get it.

5 out of 5 stars expensive but worth it   April 15, 2008
I had purchased the stock Tippmann A-5 paintball marker after I had seen my friends using it during out stint at Skirmish Paintballing down in Jim Thorpe, PA without any problem for about $210 or so. At the time I thought the gun was a little over priced, but after a few uses I noticed that it is very durable, and accurate (so long as your velocity is tuned up). I play Woodsball with a velocity (think the strength and speed of the paintball) at about 300-320fps (feet per second) and when I use the stock barrel I hit everything I am for. I have taken multiple hits in the marker by other players' paintballs and there hasn't been a scratch yet. The cyclone feed system works almost flawlessly by individually feeding your paintballs into the chamber to reduce jamming. Speaking of jamming, I rarely have paintball chopping (when a paintball breaks in your barrel and messes up your accuracy and can cause following paintballs to break as well). The gun is fairly easy to clean, all you really need is a towel and some cotton swabs. Additionally this gun is very customizable ti upgrade performance and add cosmetic enhancements such as the Tippmann A-5 Flatline Sniper Barrel A5, the TIPPMANN Collapsible Stock Kit (For A-5 Paintball Markers), the NEW GTA Tippmann Tippman A5 A-5 Low Pressure System, the useful TIPPMANN E-Grip Electronic Upgrade Kit (For A-5 Paintball Markers), or the Tippmann A5 VietNam M16 Paintball Gun Package. Like I said there are a lot of customizations you can do, these are only a few that the A-5 is compatible with. I use a CO tank (the basic air element that powers your marker), but from what I understand the NO tanks (nitrous oxide) works a lot better with the A5. The only real annoying thing about this gun (or atleast on my gun) is that the O-Ring that connects the CO2 house to the gun constantly breaks... I don't know why and I've had it fixed 3 times by Tippmann professionals so whatever.

To sum it up, I don't have anything really bad to say about this paintball gun besides the annoying O-Rings and the price (from what I understand also went down to like a buck fifty from when I bought). Its durable, fairly light weight, has a lot of customizations you can purchase, and since so many people have this gun finding people to help you fix it if you do have a problem isn't very hard. I give it a 5.

If this gun were a woman I would marry it. I have had it for many years without a single problem. I would just reccomend to tighten the screw for the fore grip before use.
