Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The lowdown on Chameleon bad weather performance, preserving agility and adaptability to pace and terrain in the worst of conditions. Airy defense mesh panels in a pigskin leather upper enhance the breathability of waterproof GORE-TEX XCR construction. Combination of toe bumper and contoured rand protects against impact and increases durability. 300 miles so far November 5, 2008 I have owned a pair of Merrells for seven months and have put more than 300 miles on them so far, in very rough terrain. They show only a slight bit of wear on the outer edge of the heel sole and are very comfortable. An excellent shoe, and I will definitely buy a second pair when these wear out.
Best shoes I`ve ever bought September 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I normally best cheaper shoes but found a great price on these and thought I`d give them a try. I`m delighted with the comfort I`m going to buy a few pair more. One day of breaking these in and a little discomfort. The rest is like walking on air. Well worth the money

Great shoe but you need to order a 1/2 larger when you order because of the way it is designed.
Comfortable and durable April 22, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these for playing disc golf. The sole is made of a grippy compound which works well on both asphalt and concrete tees. The tread pattern holds well in grass and turf and bites when traversing up/down steep inclines. The unique tread pattern sheds mud and doesn't clog as with shoes with aggressive, deep biting cleat patterns. The toe box has ample room and the shoes are very comfortable once broken in. The construction is rock solid, the pair I bought has held up extremely well and I am very rough on shoes. Waterproof shoes are a must for those dewy early morning rounds, playing after rain, and fording shallow creeks. The Chameleons not only keep the water out but breathe very well, no sweaty, foul smelling socks. A big improvement over the Keen Targhee II's I bought last year. Definitely the best outdoor shoe I've tried to date.
Merrell Chameleon Wrap Gore-Tex Hiking Shoe - Men's February 28, 2008 Found the shoe to be Stiff. Not like other Merrell shoes I have purchased The cut of the shoe rubbed my ankle bone on both ankles. After one week of wear, I sold the shoes at a $40.00 loss.
