Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
New generation Hop-Up Version Airsoft Electric Gun with Heavy Weight feel that makes it more realistic and sturdy. Full size replica M16 M4 Carbine rifle made nicely by Double Eagle. Has selector switch for full auto or semi-auto. Comes equipped with adjustable red dot sight, adjustable laser aim module and flashlight. This is a fully loaded gun that you can play in the daytime or night time. It shoots at about 250 FPS. It does hurt when it hits your skin. I do suggest you order extra magazine(s) if you play a match and want to reload fast*****INCLUDES*****(1) the Gun body;(2) Metal Clip that holds about 50 BBs;(3) Laser Aim Module w/ batteries;(4) Flashlight w/ battery;(5) Red Cross Sight w/ battery;(6) Cleaning Rod;(7) A bag of 6mm BBs;(8) 7.2 V Rechargeable battery w/ Battery charger included;(9) Safety goggle;(10)Mock silencer;(11)User's manual

3 out of 5 stars M83 owner   September 29, 2008
so today i purchased this Double eagle M83 airsoft rifle for $50.00 at a convention, thinking it was a steal. i had no knowledge of airsoft prior to today. obviously i came home and was wary of the quality, as im kind of perceptive with marketing and advertising and could tell by the packaging that it was designed to appeal to those new to the game.
Anyway, i fumbled around with the rifle for a good 2 hours, getting used to this new world of BB gun. i must say, this is one fun toy. Just so we are clear, this is basically a toy with a toyish feel. Its all plastic. It looks freaking cool, dont get me wrong, i love the weapons aesthetics when its fully assembled to my likings ( removed the grip/iron sight )

on my first shot from this, i was abled to pull of a 40 foot shot on a very small target ( 4x2 inches ). however, as i continued to play with it, i felt the accuracy decrease. this gun isnt that accurate to be honest.

its functions all work, which is a huge plus. laser sight works, red dot sight works, flashlight...all came with batteries!! and the safety is very good, no accidental shots and ive tried to mess with it to see if it would pop off a shot. nope.

construction is solid for plastic mass manufactured toy gun.

gun is fairly powerful as well, shoots hard and fast.

overall, very fun as a first or for a kid. you cant go wrong with the price if your on a tight budget...other than that look elsewhere. theres a million different airsofts out there...as i now know...lol

good luck!

1 out of 5 stars Not worth it   August 9, 2008
first of all this gun shoots about 10 feet, and the bbs just dribble out of the barrel of the gun. I have no idea on how anyone could believe this gun is good. So if you want to play airsoft save up and buy a good expensive gun.

Heavy G36 Replica Airsoft Gun Double Eagle M85 Full Automatic Electric Rifle w/ LASER LIGHT FULLY LOADED

TWO THUMBS DOWN!! From the get-go, product did not perform to expectations. Consistently misfired after 12 or so pellets were fired, then had to be emptied and re-loaded. Instructions cautioned not to tilt rifle sideways, but after a few firings, that was the only way rifle would release pellets.

Instructions also stated that rifle could not be returned after package was opened. Well, duh!

This was my grandson's birthday gift. (He completed gun safety training last year and was meticulous in following instructions on assembling the rifle.) What a disappointment for both of us.

Don't waste your money on this dog!

1 out of 5 stars THIS IS GARBAGE!!!!!   August 8, 2008
This product hardly ever shoots a single bb and if you overcharge the battery it will stop functioning for the little it does. The shipping is so slow and expensive that it will be even worse when it reaches you only to be disapointed . DO NOT BUY THIS TOY

4 out of 5 stars DON'T OVERCHARGE BATTERY!!!   July 25, 2008
This is a great gun. But I had no idea about the whole "don't charge your battery for over 4 hours" thing. So, thinking that my gun would be really powerful and last forever, i had the battery charging for about 2 weeks. Boy was I an idiot. My gun was weak, and the battery lasted for about ten minutes, if that. But don't buy this gun if you are planning on having a war. It will be useless. It is inaccurate after about 50 feet, and it takes forever to reload, since you have to dump the bb's in the stick, put another stick down that tube to push the bb's into the mag. Try doing this during a war. I think u get the picture.
