All Day Protection, Excellent Product January 26, 2008 I was playing an all-day scenario paintball game in 30 degree weather, and for the first two hours of the game, my mask was fogging up so severely that I could barely see where I was going, let alone the opponents. I used one FogTech wipe on the inside of my lens, and played the remaining 5 hours without any problems at all. All steam and fog beaded up and dripped out of the mask while I continued to have perfect visual clarity. I recommend this product for any paintball players who've not yet made the jump to thermal lenses and need to stop fogging.
Probably better than nothing, and easy to use January 22, 2008 I spend a lot of strenuous time in the outdoors, often in cold and/or wet conditions, and often in the dark, with just a headlamp (mushing, running, hiking, hunting, etc.). I'm cursed with a need for glasses and really don't want to mess with contacts, but I may have to.
I bought FogTech with some skepticism after reading some testimonials by the manufacturer (MotoSolutions). It was advertised as being effective well below zero, which is where I need it the most. When running at 10 to 40 below zero (Fahrenheit), all it takes is one breath to ice up your glasses, then they're useless - you're forced to go on without your glasses (which is very tough on rough trails with only a headlamp for illumination) or try to wipe off the ice, which comes right back.
I've found that FogTech is easy to apply, unlike some other stuff I've tried where you coat the glasses, rinse them off, then wait for them to dry. However, the product is no miracle. Even at 10 above, once I start building up some heat, one breath will ice up the glasses. BUT, it doesn't seem to be as bad as without the product. I haven't done any rigorous scientific testing, so all I can say is that you WILL fog up with this product, but "maybe" not as bad as without.
