Product Description
In today's fast paced world and on the go lifestyle, trust Corelle to stand up to the rigors of daily life and still look good. Functional and versatile, the Winter Frost White 8 inch dinner plate is a perfect in its simplicity, and pure in its form. Corelle thermally bonds three layers of glass together, forms the shapes and then tempers the glass to give its final strength. Because of this process, Corelle Livingware and Corelle Ultra dinnerware have the added versatility of being suitable for reheating or even cooking in conventional, convection or microwave ovens. And with their ergonomic, lightweight design, Livingware and Ultra plates and bowls stack easily, conserving valuable kitchen space. In addition to its exceptional durability and design, Corelle products offer an array of fashionable patterns and coordinates, perfect for all kitchen decorating styles. Corelle's beautiful patterns also withstand the test of time. Corelle use only food safe enamel pigments that are fired directly onto the dinnerware. Never need to worry about fading, scraping, scratching, or wearing off.

Amazon.com Review
Exceptionally durable and lightweight, Corelle plates and bowls are known for their superior space-saving stacking and their resistance to chipping and breaking. The secret to their durability is Corelle?s unique lamination process: two layers of glass are thermally bonded to a core layer, resulting in lightweight strength.

This versatile 10-inch plate will soon become a favorite for brunches, buffets, and dinners. Plain and simple in Winter Frost white, the plate complements a complete line of dinnerware that is safe for conventional, convection, and microwave ovens, as well as the dishwasher. --Ann Bieri

5 out of 5 stars Love these plates   December 31, 2007
These are really nice plates. They have a classic beauty and simplicity, but at the same time a modern look...and the best quality: resistance. They are unbelievably strong and last forever. And you can never go wrong with simple white...you can combine them with different color table cloths, and colorful glasses. Plus, they are extremely cheap but with a quality worth lots of dollars.

1 out of 5 stars Corelle is very dangerous dont buy it!   September 23, 2007

I found out how dangerous these plates are. When I dropped a smaller plate on the counter from the cabinet it shattered into a thousand little pieces all over the counter, floor and flew across the room as far as 12 feet away. The broken hards are like little razors and are very difficult to see. It is very likely that these could fly into ones eye and cause serious damage or at least require a trip to the doctor to have it removed from the eyeball - yeesh, sounds very painfull. I am thinking of getting rid of these and replacing them with regular ceramic plates that don't break into so many little pieces and "literally" explode all over the place from impact. I agree their should be a recall or at least a warning on these. The ironic thing is that on the back of the plate it says break and chip resistant, but if anything they break easier than glass or ceramic plates I have had. Even though it might be rare for one to drop or brake a plate, when it does happen it could cause serious injury if toddlers, little children, older people, or the disabled are nearby and step on the pieces. It took me like a whole hour to decontaminate the kitchen and then even later on I found a shard of glass on the rug, leading to the living room even though I made a point of not walking into the other oom until I swept and vacummed the kitchen. The shards are very scary looking like they could penetrate an artery!
I had Corelle for so many years and never broke one with everyday use, but when I did drop it a couple feet it shattered into so many small pieces compared to other plates - maybe it gets really brittle after microwaving them since they are a sort of glass, however they are supposed to be microwave-safe.

5 out of 5 stars Breaking Corelle   November 17, 2005

I give Corelle 5 stars. They are hard to break. That being said, if you DO break Corelle, it turns into thousands of needle and razor like shards that are really dangerous. I buy, use and recommend Corelle, but just be careful around the breakage if you do break a piece.

5 out of 5 stars Clean and easy   September 29, 2005
I looked for somewhere to find these Corelle plates and found them on Amazon. My favorite dish and plate design should last a while and withstand my abuse.
