no sound, not work. July 24, 2008 I bought it on June 16, 2008, and it stopped working on July 21, 2008. Less than 40 days, such a low quality product!
Does what it's supposed to... July 22, 2008 Bought these for a recent trip to the beach after much research. Couldn't beat the sale price on Amazon. Sound quality is excellent, with sparkly treble and clean bass (especially using Bass Booster on my iPod's EQ setting). Volume is surprisingly loud, definitely enough for a 20 ft radius on the beach or a bedroom. Size-wise, it's not in the ultraportable category, but could easily fit into a carry-on when traveling. Best bang for the buck.
Mixed Feelings July 21, 2008 The sound was decent considering how small the speakers are, but I ended up returning these as the connecting wire made crackling sounds when adjusted.
On Tour vs On Tour Plus July 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Please be aware that some of the owner's pictures posted for the On Tour Speakers are actually for the On Tour PLUS Speaker system. The same fine set of JBL speakers, but the Plus comes with a bracket to mount a Sony PSP and other media players on to the speakers and a large zippered carrying case that holds all the parts, including the AC adaptor. Amazon sells both, but the Plus is usually sold through an Amazon Market Place merchant.
Great speakers, just be sure you get exactly what you want.
Awesome compactness July 18, 2008 This is just what I was looking for: compact size, big sound. I have an Archos personal media player and I use these speakers when I'm at work so I don't have to use headphones. My wife has used them with her power point projector for giving presentations to small groups. If you're the kind that needs to blast out the neighborhood, get something else. But if you want good quality sound in a package small enough to carry anywhere, don't hesitate to get these!
