These boots were perfect! December 12, 2008 These boots were purchased to be used in a musical theater production. The cast member wears a size 9 - 10 and these fit perfectly even with socks. They are sturdy but flexible enough to dance and bend in. The price was great in comparison with other like products and I'm confident that the quality will with stand the use as well. Perfect sized heal for a guy.
Great costume boots for the price November 8, 2008 It completed my pirate outfit perfectly, but the adhesive bottom lining didn't last long at all. It started to ball up making it uncomfortable. I would recommend Dr. Scholls inserts for better comfort.
Excellent purchase! September 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These boots were everything I expected and more. The material holds well and as other commented, the string can be taken off for the flared boot look, and they fit very comfortably without being too loose - I wear a size 12.5 athletic shoe and ordered a Lrg and was satisfied by the fit. There are zippers on the back which makes putting them on/off more convenient, and the soles are more or less flat and slick, which for my purpose of a Pirate Ball, dancing in them will be a plus!
Good deal! March 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased these boots to complete my costume that I wear to the local renaissance festival as a more cost affordable solution. This item was shipped to me promptly and everything was included in the packaging, so no issues there. The boots are made of polyurethane, which 'simulates' the leather look and actually does a decent job of it. The boots are soft and have a very comfortable step to them. When I first put them on, I admit that they looked more like "Santa" boots than pirate boots, but once you have on the rest of your costume they look good.
The only complaint I really have about the boots is that I ordered a medium and the boots *seem* extremely large...but not uncomfortably large. They seem like a "one size fits all" type of medium, which works surprisingly great. I highly recommend these boots to anyone that wants a cheap alternative to paying $650 for the boots you get at the renaissance festival. However, I fully support the artisans from the faire and if you have the money to drop on those boots, then by all means...go for it as they are the best money can buy.
Perfect costume boots November 5, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Awesome boots for costume and not very expensive. I took the string off the back and the top flared out just like a swashbuckling boot. Also they zip up the back (difficult to see on the pic) which was invaluable when I had to stuff my jeans inside them.
