Product Description This sword measures 41 inches in overall length, with a 27 inch blade made of 440 Stainless Steel, and an 11 1/2 inch black nylon cord wrapped handle. Includes free display stand! The tsuba (guard) is a simple black cast metal ring design. The saya (scabbard) is finished with a deep black lacquer and made of wood. The sageo (wrap around scabbard) is a solid black nylon cord. This is a reverse blade sword, meaning the edge of the blade is along what is traditionally the back side of the blade. The purpose of such a design is one in which one has sworn to no longer take a life but must still defend their own life.

As happy as a little pig August 9, 2008 I couldn't believe the price. Even after reading the reviews, I didn't expect a sword of such quality. I expected something light and flimsy, something that would not feel like a sword in my hand. However, as I was buying it more as a symbol for some life choices I have made, I thought it would do. After all, a price I could actually afford! When I went seeking a sakabato like Kenshin's, I thought I would have to make do with putting it on my wishlist and looking at it longing for the rest of my life.
Then, it arrived. I unpacked the sheath first and thought it was the sword sent sheathed. I was disappointed but not too bad...then I found the blade. Feels like a sword in my hand. The blade catches the light and looks deadly and sharp. It is solid and real and I love it! A perfect symbol a woman who is a pacifist but still a warrior. Truly, I am as happy as a little pig (P-chan?)
Awesome price for a good display sword. October 18, 2007 The sword arrived in mint condition, really solid with the edge reversed. Its made outta 440 stainless steel. its handle is slightly longer and the blade slightly shorter den most standard 40" katana as the blade is only 39".
Overall a good buy for its price and worth as a collector's item...
Great October 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great looking sword that is very stable. The metal is good but easy to damage so don't hit is off the blade of another sword. Also be careful not to hit it on something really hard because it's not full tang and it can break easier than other swords. Overall the sword is a great buy, it looks awesome and it's not too heavy to swing! Though I recommend for beginners to get a smaller or lighter one first.
Good sword September 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This sword is awsome. I don't know what to say, but when it arrived it was sharp as heck. This sword can cut through an 8 inch branch, and the blade doesn't bend or dent. It stays sharp. Good idea. Get it.
Looks really nice. July 9, 2007 The sword and sheath look really nice. As some others have stated, it is definitely not made for combat, just decorative (mainly due to the fact that the sword is fairly heavy, unbalanced, and not sharp). The stand also doesn't seem to want to stay up on it's own, so it might be a good idea to get a stand separately. But as for appearance, it LOOKS AWESOME. Definitely worth having to show off.
