Product Description Time of day, calendar and alarm / Backlight for easy low light viewing / Water resistant / EKG accurate / 100 hour stopwatch and countdown timer
Amazon.com Product Description Specifically made for women, with its lightweight and slender design, this all-in-one heart rate monitor and sports watch by Reebok uses a patented method called "pulse technology" to measure the electrical pulses sent out by your heart each time it beats. Of course, the amazing part is that it works by finger touch rather than the cumbersome chest strap used by most other heart monitors. Within four seconds of touching the sensors on the watch, you can get not only an accurate heart rate reading, but also the number of calories burned during your workout. The monitor has a programmable heart rate zone with audible and visual alarms to alert you when you get out of zone, plus a settable alarm if you have a maximum rate you should not exceed. Made from durable plastic and fully water-resistant, the device also features regular watch functions, plus a 100-hour stopwatch and countdown timer. It comes with a complete walking and exercise guide and one-year warranty. About Reebok Reebok's United Kingdom-based ancestor company was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So, in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes. In 1958, two of the founder's grandsons started a companion company that came to be known as Reebok, named for an African gazelle.

Don't use while exercising October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love all the features of this heart rate monitor and watch, except for one and that would be the way it takes your heart rate. It does not take a reading if your skin is wet. I bought it for my spinning class and I can't get a reading. I have to dry my wrist and put the watch back on to get a reading.
Heart Rate Watch September 30, 2008 This item was for me. I love it. Arrived promptly! In exccellent condition. Thank you! A++++++
Loved it until it stopped working September 24, 2008 I loved this product. I had previously had a "strap" monitor and absolutely hated it (would be better if you had no chest). This watch never gave me any problems when it was working. Suddenly the watch would not provide a heart rate so I figured it needed a new battery. I took the watch to Sear's "watch/clock" repair department. When the service person took the watch apart, she placed the new battery in, and then put the watch back together. It would not even light up and she said they were not able to fix "digital" watches. She took out the new battery and gave me back the watch. I am not sure what happened, but the watch was lit when I gave it to her. I am thinking of buying the watch again because I really liked it and am familar with all of its features, but do not want it to only last a year. At least my "strap" monitor (Polar)has operated for many years and several battery replacements. I wish there were other reviews regarding battery replacements for this watch.
HATE IT September 23, 2008 I was attracted to this watch because of the lack of chest strap...but there's a reason REAL heart rate monitors have a chest strap- because they WORK. This monitor works fine when you're standing still. But if you actually want to use it to work out, think again. It's really annoying to have to press and hold down the sensors with two fingers to get a read and it barely reads when you're moving. By the time it reads, you've already stopped your work out. Also, there's no way for it to do a calorie count because it's not monitoring your heart rate during your work out. It must "guess" based on the 1 or 2 readings you're able to get at some point during your work out...far from accurate. Trust me, go for the strap. I'm sure you get used to it after a day or two. Wish me luck on returning this one.
Great tool but it is a LADIES watch September 14, 2008 This is a great watch and monitor. Works great and is accurate. I bought the watch for myself (male) but it is definately a female watch. My wife now enjoys her new birthday present!
