These boots are made wide and loose around the ankle. Also, they are very stiff and don't bend when walking in them. I would return them, but my son wore them around the house all day. The Gifted Horse was very slow in shipping the boots. It took at least 3 weeks before we received them. I will buy my next boots elsewhere and go back to my previous leather with laces.
