Magical February 27, 2008 At times, my hands crack and dry so severely that I wake up in the morning with blood stains on my sheets from them. This stuff seems to be the only product that provides relief to my chapped, cracked hands. I've started applying a very generous amount and covering my hands with socks to sleep. The next morning my hands are soft (and still wet from the Bag Balm as if I just applied it). I highly recommend this product.
I love it! February 21, 2008 I have used Bag Balm for about 20 years. I originally learned about it as a quilter friend told me to use it to help heal needle pricks. It is sold in Quilt Shops for that purpose. But my daughter was grooming pets and got me a large tin as it was cheaper than the little ones at the quilt shops. I use it on everything, but especially my heels and lips. In my dry climate, I use it daily. Like so many have said it works! It smells nice too.
Bag Balm Magic January 27, 2008 We have used Bag Balm since the late 1950's. We discovered the healing effect of Bag Balm when using it on the udders of our cows in the field. They came to the barn with scratches and abrasions from the brambles and posts. We used Bag Balm and the healing was amazingly rapid.
We logically thought if it works for the cows, why not for us?
It works for us. It helps the dry skin of aging - it heals scratches and abrasions - all very rapidly.
Spearmint oil improves the smell of bag balm October 15, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I added a few drops of spearmint essential oil to about an ounce of bag balm and it improved the smell a lot! Especially nice if you use it as lip balm this way.
Not just for cows anymore... June 11, 2007 BB is the best all-purpose salve around. Lasts forever if you buy the larger size and is good for rashes, burns, minor cuts & scrapes and esp. good to keep in the kitchen, which is where I usually end up needing it. Try it - you'll like it.
