Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Firefighters in training can hop on this adorable red engine and race to the rescue. The Buddy "L" Fire Engine features a solid steel body and frame with a smooth powder-coat finish. A real wooden ladder and working steering wheel add to the realism, and a fire bell lets little riders signal to others that help is on the way. Measures 31.5"L x 11"W x 8.4"H. Holds up to 45 pounds. Adult supervision recommended.

Customer Reviews:
My son loves it.... May 27, 2008 My son got this for his first birthday. I love that it has a look of an antique toy but it is built to last. Of course the best feature right now is the bell, he loves to ring it. I have two older kids who love to sit on it as well and so far it has held up. I think my 3 will get many years of play with this toy and it will be something we can put up and keep for their kids.
SUPER DTURDY little fire engine!!! January 2, 2008 This fire engine is really sturdy and heavy. I was surprised when we took it out of the box to put it together. We got it for our nephew's 1st birthday and I felt like it was probably a bit too big/solid for him. We have a Radio Flyer plastic retro rocket that would have been better for his age (more lightweight - easier to maneuver because its shorter). But I don't think this is meant for ages 3 and below anyway. Our 2 year old son LOVED it - I thought and it was perfect for him. It is solid metal (don't know what kind) and the little bell and ladder that attach to it are adorable. I got an amazing deal on it too. I think Amazon had in listed at $24.99 or something like that. It was one of those deals where you have to quick catch it before the price goes back up. Not sure what the regular price is - but I would spend it if I was in the market for a fire engine ride-on toy. This is of a quality where you could pass it down from sibling to sibling and not have to worry about it getting destroyed. This thing is definitely not cheaply made.
