Product Description In-Mold technology reinforces this helmet in crucial areas, resulting in a light and tough helmet perfect for all-around use. 20 sweeping vents keep your head cool under pressure. The simple Acu Loc fit system offers a wide range of adjustability for the best fit.
Product Description The Giro Transfer Sport Bike Helmet is constructed with in-mold technology that fuses a tough outer microshell to the helmet's EPS foam liner. The fusion process reinforces areas around vents and ribs, making the helmet lighter, cooler and tougher. The Transfer utilizes Giro's Acu Dial system, which combines single-handed adjustment with a full-fit band for a quick, sure fit. This Giro helmet features a snap-fit visor, and 20 vents that allow cool, fresh air in and stale, warm air out. The Transfer sport helmet comes in Giro's Universal Fit Adult U size (54-61cm), carefully sculpted and size-specific to simplify the fitting process. Giro's Transfer helmet is a lightweight 255 grams, and complies with U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's safety standards for bicycle helmets. Helmet Tips--You Should Always... - Wear a helmet when you ride
- Wear your helmet low in the front to protect the forehead
- Fasten your buckle and tighten your chin strap
- Check your adjustments every time you wear your helmet
- Inspect your helmet regularly for signs of wear or damage
- Wear a helmet designed for your activity
About Giro Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, and the result was the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking than traditional designs while offering a superior fit and still met the industry's toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world. Young-bloods and old-timers; hard-cores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too--in fact, pretty musch anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet.

excellent helmet August 5, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this helmet so I could ride on the street to train as well as to wear in my first triathalon. it fits well, especially after you use the extra pads it comes with to customize it. it is light, looks good, and stays wear I strap it on my skull. the straps coming down past your ears are the only part that was a bit annoying, but after one ride I never noticed it again. a great helmet, at a great price
Great Helmet August 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Fits well, easy and quick adjustment. Feels lightweight and doesn't get too hot when you're out in the sun. I'm assuming it protects my head, but I haven't tested that yet...
great helmet for an excellent price July 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was pleasantly surprised with this helmet considering it was $30.00. Its lightweight, breathes well and fits like a glove (love the head harness system). I initially purchased it because I am a female with a small build (and a small head) and the reviews stated that the helmet ran a bit on the smaller side. Its really lightweight, could be a pro or a con. That being said it seems durable, although hopefully I will never have a real test of that.
Pro: *Cost *Good Air flow *Fits well * Looks cool
Cons: * Could use a sun shade * adjustment knob is a little hard to turn, but you shouldn't have to adjust it that ofter.
Bottom line - I highly recommend it!

good brand, cheap helmet. my experience: often disappointed with amazing bargains on Amazon. (on the whole, i love amazon, and typically, great value for great products. but when i've bought things that are so cheap it seems to good to be true, it often is.)
One size fits most June 16, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I needed a helmet after mine cracked from an impact so I chose this model. However, my former 2006 Bell Furio fit me well and was offered in 3 size ranges (and cost more). This helmet somehow manages to align a hard spot toward the back with my skull. It seems to be the shaping, and the old helmet had the hard shell ever so slightly spaced from my head. I used the pads supplied with the Giro Transfer to help avoid this contact and adjusted as much as possible, but if the padding of my hair thins any more things could get uncomfortable. Best to try on before buying. The design brings the front pretty low on the brow, which takes getting used to as well.
