Amazon.com Product Description The Atomic Solar Mudman by Casio is mud-, dust-, and shock-resistant enough to survive whatever Mother Nature throws your way. Solar power and multi-band atomic timekeeping make this a great watch for keeping time on the trail. The 46-millimeter case is constructed from durable resin that stands up to typical wear and tear. Comfortable and sporty, the Mudman also features a date-and-month display and is water resistant to a depth of 660 feet.

Great Watch January 6, 2009 Casio Mudman watch, nice size not to big for an active man, looks good too
G-Shock Mudman January 6, 2009 Not as large physically as it looked in the pictures. That's a plus. I love this watch. It updates almost every night around 0100. Good price from Amazon. rrmode
Awesome watch and strong signal from US atomic clock! January 4, 2009 Got it as a Christmas present and immediatly I fell in love with it. Looks great, awesome features, hard to break and I'm sure it'll last for ever.
While being in Guatemala (Central America) on vacations, I was surprised that it got synchronized with the US atomic clock while being in:
- Guatemala City: 1435'05.99" N / 9032'40.63" WEST - Livingston (Caribbean coast): 1550'44.83" N / 8846'44.03 WEST
CASIO says that it'll get synchronized up to Mexico City... but in Guatemala?!?!?! I was surprised and happily shocked!
Casio Resin Watch Bands are Not Replacable!!! January 3, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased a Casio G-Shock solar powered, atomic watch last summer. The black resin band broke. I purchased a Casio replacement band for $19 on Ebay. I brought it to two jewlery shops and neither would attempt to work on the band. I took it to Fred Meyers Jewlers and was chared $5 to attached the new band. Hours later the new band fell off my wrist because Fred Meyers bent the watch band pin. Stay away from Casio watches with the black resin watchbands. It also needs a battery replacement because after one year of use the solar charged battery only holds a charge for a few hours.
Casio GW9000A Mudman Solar Atomic Watch Review December 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After twice replacing a more expensive watch that touts itself as a Navy Seals watch I decided to go with the Casio G Shock Line. Reading the reviews here I settled on the GW9000A. This is a heavy duty big bodied watch- not glamorous but highly functional that keeps accurate time and has alarms and stopwatch features. I like the wrist band (double prong catches instead of typical single) Also the fact that you really need to push the buttons on the watch to change settings- you aren't going to change them in the course of just normal hard work or leaning on them like some other watches I have had. The fact that it is solar and won't need a watch battery after a year or so is also appealing. I never take the watch off and it has readjusted to the atomic time on it's own- I sleep right by a large window though. I use it for scuba diving as well. So far I am very happy with it. Recommended for someone who is tough on watches and needs a dependable timepiece without breaking the bank.
