Good trailer, OK as a stroller December 7, 2008 I've had this trailer since the end of the summer, and on the whole have been very pleased with it. It's very easy to assemble and disassemble, and is very light and easy to pull along.
The connection plate fit easily onto my rear skewer, and the trailer is very easy to hitch and unhitch. The connection itself uses a stiff spring that is flexible enough to allow you to lay your bike down while it's hitched (although on your derailleurs).
As a stroller it works well enough, although with just our son's diaper bag and a beach bag with a couple of beach towels in the "trunk" area behind the seat the trailer was rather back-heavy and prone to tipping. In part this is because our son is still pretty small but also because the child seat sits on the axle line for maximum stability, which is good but means you may need to balance things a bit by putting some stuff up front in the cabin when it's not on your bike.
fun product October 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love being able to take my toddler out biking with me! I haven't used the product as a stroller, so I can't comment on the third wheel or handle attachment. The large tires on this carrier work very well. The weight of the carrier is unnoticeable (except going up hills :-P). My one complaint would be the strapping system inside- it does not seem very comfortable for my child. It is a three strap system: one over each shoulder and one crotch strap and all three connect around the belly button. On this model the crotch strap is not adjustable so the straps may not meet at a very comfortable point for your child.
Tight for two August 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this trailer and put it together myself without even reading the directions. Very easy and created well. It turns on a dime if you are using it as a stroller and works well as a trailer too of course. I have twin 20mth old boys and wanted something that they could both fit in. The bottom of the seat is terrible. It is really built for one in my opinion. The boys slide together and basically their legs are on top of each other. It looked very uncomfortable so I pulled seats out of my jogger and transfered them into the trailer. If they would have created some sort of devider down the middle or some sort of support under the seat this would be a 5 star. I would buy it again but not without changing up the seat.
Instep Rocket Bike Trailer August 2, 2008 Works great. The grandchildren love it. A great value. Very light weight. Easy to fold down. Someone designed this one very well. Even has cup holders for the children.
