5 out of 5 stars works great   October 31, 2008
Once you get by the confusing instructions, you have a item that does what it says it does. The 42mm band did break the first day, but you can easily replace it with a rubber band.

4 out of 5 stars SIGMA BC506 5-Function Wired Bike Speedometer   September 30, 2008
I just recently purchased the meter and put it on my motorized bike. Some of the meters that I looked at had too many functions or too many that I wasn't interested in. Five is manageable. I'm mainly interested in the time of day, speed, trip and total miles. I mounted it very close to the center of my handlebars so that I could look at it with little head or eye movement. The type font is large enough for me to see easily. Probably the only negative comment that I have is that the instructions weren't easy to understand. I like easy because I don't want to spend a lot of time figuring it out.

4 out of 5 stars Sigma does it right   January 24, 2008

I've been using Sigma bike computers for about 5 years now. I buy the wired, less expensive ones that only supply the basics (Speed, Ave. Speed, ODO, Trip ODO, Time)and then buy a new one when a wire breaks or the battery dies. This model is a good one except it doesn't calculate average speed (which is think is dumb). I installed it on my beater bike and am purchasing another one to install on my primary bike. It will be a Sigma. I like Sigma and they're intuitive to use.

4 out of 5 stars Can't beat it for the price   November 17, 2007

I bought this a few months ago and used it for about a month before it broke. I think the break was my fault. When I installed it I probably didn't leave enough slack, and during one of my mountain bike rides the wire pulled out of the base. I've since replaced it with a wireless cateye.

Installation was pretty easy, just make sure you leave enough slack.

The functions were great! The screen was nice and everythign was easy to read. I did have a few problems with accuracy, it would consistently report 1.08 miles for every mile I rode. That wasn't a huge deal for me, but is worth noting.

Recieved the computer very quickly. Was able to install and enjoy immediately. This is the second sigma bike computer we have used!
