5 out of 5 stars Super Scooter   January 6, 2009
This was a top of the Santa list item for my 10 yr old 75lb son. He loves it!!! The option of using or not using the seat for only a bit more money was a wise choice. It was so easy to assemble as most of it was already put together. The maximum weight allows me to ride with him and we have had soooo much fun. It does not maintain speed with more weight going up hill but I think anyone would expect that. Huge factor was the tires. We did not want little skimpy inline skate wheels because with boys, they will go over just about anything. These tires will not stop the scooter causing it to flip like with those little wheels. The pneumatic larger actual tires allow for a bump and continued traveling. It was the hit of Christmas morning. All the kids in the family wanted to ride and did!!! It has been ridden so much in such a short time and we have had no problems like with other scooters reviewed. Great purchase and with the Amazon Prime no shipping, the price far beat out all others I looked at. I would encourage others to purchase this product if you are in the market.

5 out of 5 stars Razor Rocks!   January 6, 2009
This Electric Razor E300S with seat absolutely made our 13-year old son's Christmas! We got a great price compared to video gaming system bundles this year and it took less than 10 minutes to assemble. I did alot of research before choosing this model and I was concerned about some of the battery/power issues but after buying one I can confirm we have had no issues. My son has had good steering control, power up to 15 mph (as marketed) and the battery has lasted about 30 minutes which is just enough for him to tool around the neighborhood but not go too far. We love this product and are planning to buy a second one. As far as the seat, he reports that he likes having the seat because standing up get old and he doesnt have as much control as when he is seated.

1 out of 5 stars Extremely disappointing   December 10, 2008

I'm a scooter enthusiast who has owned many models over the years. The Razor E300S is a prime example of shoddy workmanship. Mine had problems as soon as it was out of the box. It frequently shuts off after it's been running only a few seconds, and the motor becomes overloaded even though I'm considerably lighter than the weight specifications. I contacted technical support and they were no help at all, told me I was on my own. The battery doesn't last nearly as long as the literature suggests, and after only about a week of use, the scooter won't travel more than 100 yards without the circuit breaker tripping, causing it to shut off. Sadly, this one's going in the trash.
This is the kind of product you get if the manufacturer makes it as cheaply and quickly as possible: unreliable, poor quality. My advice is to spend an extra $100 or so to get a scooter that's actually worth something. This one's a gutterball.

    4 out of 5 stars E300 Razor Scooter   December 9, 2008
I live in the city and bought this scooter a few months ago. It works well...really good speed, only lasts about 40 minutes and has trouble on hills. Biggest downfall for me is that it is very heavy. I have to carry it up and down my stairs to charge it and it's hard to do because it's big and heavy. It's a lot of fun too! And perfect for running a few city errands. (Easy to lock up to a tree/pole)

4 out of 5 stars Finally, a scooter that works!   November 16, 2008
This scooter is much better than the pocket scooter by Razor...it never worked. My 11 yr. old daughter has been buzzing around all over the place! The only drawback for these things is the charge only lasts about 30 min. run time & it has to be recharged 24/7...you're in for a lot of inconvenience if your child isn't responsible enough to take care of it.
