This is a beautiful axe, the head is highly polished and the finish on the handle is flawless. At 382 grams (13.5 oz) for a 60 cm axe, this is one of the lightest out there. I just got down from Mt Adams in Washington where I used it to cut a few steps in the ice, mostly for arrest of my glissades. The head has contours built into it to make it fit the hand more comfortably. Very nice!
