Product Description
Ideal for camping weekends with friends and family, the Paha Que Aluminum Pole Tepee Shower and Outhouse Tent is a fully functional portable restroom, shower, or privacy shelter for changing clothes. The Tepee stows away easily in its oversize 8 by 26-inch zippered carry bag with a handy shoulder strap and has a carry weight of 12 pounds. It can be easily set up by one person quickly using Paha Que's easy-to-use color-coded pole sleeve and strap system.

The Tepee Outhouse and Shower Tent is loaded with convenient features, including a no-see-um mesh roof for proper ventilation, a removable mesh gear attic that suspends overhead to hold a shower bag or toiletries, and zippered gear-access portals on all three sides for hanging your towel and still reach it from inside the Tepee. In addition, wet and dry storage pockets inside will keep all your shower accessories organized and handy. A removable floor allows you to use the shower on any terrain and it can even be removed for use on grass or to dig a latrine. The removable rainfly has two clear panels to allow solar heating of a shower bag in sunny days.

The Tepee Shower and Outhouse Tent comes complete with a full set of adjustable and reflective guylines and two complete sets of ground stakes to accommodate any ground conditions you may encounter. The oversized carry sack makes folding and storing the tent a breeze. Supported by a heavy-duty, 6000 series aluminum pole set, the Tepee Shower is lightweight and easy to transport. All sets are shock-corded for ease of set-up and storage, and are also covered by a lifetime warranty.

About Paha Que
Paha Que Wilderness Inc. is a young and innovative company that makes high-quality family camping tents. Campers love them, but when they first see the name in print, they pause and wonder just how to pronounce it and try to understand its meaning. You won't find it in any dictionary and there have been debates amongst linguists about its derivation. According to the legend behind the term, Paha Que is the Southwest Indian version of "Aloha." Paha Que takes it to mean "happy trails." It can mean hello, good-bye, how are you, have a good day, and more. Perhaps a variation on the Spanish phrase Que Pasa? The people at Paha Que learned it from a local rancher friend whose grandpa learned it from local Indians. It boils down to the fact that the name is surely different, and appropriately so because these tents are very different from ordinary tents.

5 out of 5 stars We love it!   June 13, 2007

No more stinky vault toilets and no more icky showers.
I love taking a shower by moonlight after the campground has gone to bed or when we're in the middle of nowhere.
We've had this for a few years now and it still looks and performs like new.
We have used this, when tent camping with a shower bag hanging in the top and when RV camping with the hose coming through the one of the many zippers. One of the best points is that it is tall, I (6'2") can take a shower with the full bag sagging down and still have headroom.
One other tidbit of info that has not been mentioned is that it locks, the zipper "hook attachment" can attach to an "eye" so that it can't be unzipped when in use.

5 out of 5 stars My Wife Will Finally Go Camping!!   October 12, 2006

I orginally bought the Pamo Valley and the Power Shower and this was a must have! When we go camping all of my friends wives and my wife can finally go to the bathroom without finding a bush! And they can take nice warm showers when we are in the middle of noware. This whole set up was so much easier and more cost efficient than the orginal idea of buying a R.V. plus we can go camping in all kinds of places that a R.V. can't.

4 out of 5 stars shower in the sunlight or under the stars   August 26, 2006

Although this is one of the more expensive shower tents, it is worth it. I used it to camp at a music festival for a long weekend, and it made camping a lot more pleasant, especially after dancing! The tent is white and roomy, with the possiblity of leaving the top as open mesh, which we did. The light comes through the fabric and mesh beautifully, like through a sail, although you have to be a little careful about casting your shadow while showering at certain times of day if you're shy... We hooked this up with a shower pump, let the water heat in a solar bag and then poured it into a bucket with the pump. Delightful! There are some other nice things about this-- it is easy to set up, even without reading the directions, which are helpfully enclosed. But there are color coded mesh loops at the top, middle, and bottom so you don't twist it while setting it up. We had several people trying to figure it out at once, and they were all drinking beer, so it wasn't as efficient as it might have been (but that was beside the point!). There are zippers that open from the inside, and you can hang your towels and clothes on the exterior structure to keep them dry and then reach them through the zippers when you're ready to use them. There's a place up above where you can hang a shower bag, if that's what you're going to use. It doesn't come with a shower bag or any of the "plumbing" you'll need-- it's really just an enclosure. But it's very nice as an enclosure. We had four showers, from a funky hand-made one to a couple of other similar ones in dark colors, set up in a row, for something like 20 people, and this one was the most popular one.

This might be the best piece of camping gear I own!! We use it with our 2005 Fleetwood folding trailer and it really is the perfect addition. Our camper doesn't have a inside shower so this works out great, and we can use the shower hose on the back of our trailer by feeding it right into the Tepee. We also keep a porta potty inside so it serve double duty. And it seems very well made too, we havent had any problems at all, even in the rain or other bad weather.

I purchased the Paha Que Aluminum Pole Tent last year as an "outhouse structure" for a men's camping trip for our church. It was extremely easy to set up and endured a huge storm the last night of our trip. I was especially impressed with its ability to withstand 20-25 guys going in and out of it at various times over a four day period. I liked it so much that I've ordered two more for this year's trip and after doing a lot of research, I found Amazon to be the best buy!
