Product Description Two specially hardened steel wheels are positioned at the optimum angle for quickly restoring a sharp edge. All you need to do is pull the blade through the wheels a few times and like magic, a sharp edge is restored!

Neat little sharpener January 6, 2009 I ran across one of these at my in-laws house and was impressed by how quickly it put an edge on one of their cheap kitchen knives. I purchased one and have tried it on several of our higher end knives with mixed success. It seems to work best on thin blade knives. Thicker, heavier duty steel resists.
Overall, if you have thin blade knives such as paring knives or filet knives, this thing will put a functional edge on it in a heartbeat.
One other suggestion, don't have it sent to an address other than your billing address as this seems to overwhelm Amazon. I ordered two things from them for Christmas and they both went horribly awry. We salvaged them but the Amazon customer service(apparently located in a opium den in Calcutta) was absolutely no help.
Handy, Dandy Little Sharpner for Your Straight Edged Knives November 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased one of these to keep my Rada cutlery sharp, but found myself using it to sharpen my other straight-bladed knives, too. It does a great job keeping kitchen cutlery in top-notch working condition. I've had to learn not to put too much pressure on the knife as I pull it through the wheels- it's enough to glide it through. This is a really handy item for anyone who uses straight edged knives.
