5 out of 5 stars A Fun Tool for Tech Geeks!   October 5, 2008
I really do use this for working on PCs. Much easier and more convenient way to carry a tool kit around.

Construction is top-notch, as you would expect in a Swiss Army knife. There are the odd tools on it I am not sure I would ever use, like the gear hook. But it has what you need to get the job done for PC repair and upgrading.

Very highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Toolbox in our pocket   August 24, 2008
This is my second cyberTool. I travel between the east coast and west coast and don't check bags when I do. This meant that I could not have it with me when I was in California because security would not allow it. But I simply had to have the darn thing. I would find myself reaching into my pocket for it over and over and realizing I was missing one of my best friends. Finally, I bought another one just like the first - even the color is the same. Yay. I am whole again.

Calling the cybertool a pocket knife is like calling a CL Class Mercedes a car. Yes, they look similar, but when you get down to using it you find it to be so much more. It is really a toolbox in your pocket. I have had my first cybertool since they were first introduced. The tool set selection is perfect for the guy that needs to really get into his computer. It is very sturdy and the heft is nice. So what's the deal with the saw? I have used it a few times in the past, but it is somewhat out of place with the rest of the tools. It works great by the way - I used it to cut down a number of small trees and it was merciless.

The only thing I don't care for is the file. It is probably intended as a metal file, but is pretty much useless in filing your fingernails. This is true of the little ones as well. Can't have everything.

5 out of 5 stars This mini-toolkit is awesome!!!   June 2, 2008
I am a computer technician and this little gadget is being used every single day. Let me tell you this swiss knife can handle abuse; it was used for everything: computer repairs, laptop repairs, opening beer, cutting wood to size to make a shelf fit, screwing in a door, etc...

The only con of this product is that it's not for a woman. A big man as myself can carry this around every single day in my jeans but a woman would definitely find this too heavy/big.

3 out of 5 stars Great, except for the driver bits   April 29, 2008

This is a top-notch tool except for the interchangeable bits. I'm not hard on tools, but the torx drivers and the flat blade driver are brittle rather than strong and can break after a few months or in some cases just a few uses. The large Phillips bit seems more durable but still shows visible wear after a few months. The Posidrive bit, however, showed no wear after several years, but I had to replace each of the other bits at least twice in four years. Not only that, but the bits aren't exactly cheap ([...] plus [...] shipping) for that price, it seems like they could make the bits out of a stronger material that would last more than a year or two.

Other than that, the many other functions of this knife have been very durable with no sign of wear other than the plastic case which shows the minor scratches and abrasions you'd expect from rubbing against a pocketful of keys for four years. Overall I am happy with my purchase, I just they made the driver bits as tough as the rest of this fine tool.

5 out of 5 stars Very Similar to More Expensive Champ XLT but $80 LESS!   April 6, 2008
This is very similar to a Champ minus the magnifying glass and dedicated Philips screwdriver but with the addition of the wrench with interchangeable screw tips.

It is also very similar to the Champ XLT which is about $80 more expensive. The XLT will have the pharmaceutical spatula, magnifying glass, dedicated Philips, and pruning knife, however.

The width of this knife is about half a centimeter wider than the Champ Plus. It is large and heavy, but it is still possible to have this in a pocket. It is certainly a great knife to have in your briefcase or bag. For every day carry, I usually will carry an Alox Farmer or Midnite Manager, but will probably keep this knife in my messenger bag/briefcase.

Regarding the translucent sapphire color, I think it is truly awesome! I own the red cellidor and aluminum Alox models, and I think this blue is really a nice change. It has a nice "pop" and vibrance to it that I was not expecting. It is very bright and does not look cheap at all. it almost looks like the semi-precious stone itself, and not plastic!
