Body features molded-in grid for a secure grip in the wettest conditions. Small size, high output, and extended runtime make it perfect for self-defense, camping and backpacking, emergency/disaster-preparedness kits, or everyday carry. BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER October 6, 2008 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
THIS THING SELLS FOR $35 IN ANY STORE BUT LIKE ALL SUREFIRE LIGHTS ITS WAY OVER PRICED. EATS BATTERIES AND THE XENON BULB BURNS OUT EASY AND GETS VERY VERY HOT NOT A GOOD LIGHT AT ALL
Outstanding quality. August 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great quality, however the LED is not quite as "piercing" a stream as my regular Surefire light. Still, the battery life extension due to LED usage and overall utility is, as usual from Surefire, outstanding.
Great flashlight for the money July 17, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great flashlight and even better than the more expensive Surefire 6P LED model. It has the same brightness and performance yet has slightly longer run time and is lighter (hard plastic casing rather than metal in the 6P). I actually prefer the G2 because it's easier on your clothes if you like to keep the light in your pocket (the knurled grip on the metal 6P model can tear at your clothing).
Furthermore, the G2 is a lot less expensive so you get more bang for your buck with it yet you get the identical performance.
For super long run time and brightness for a given size, and for the price value, the Surefire G2 cannot be beat!
Lighter than 6P June 30, 2008 I have a 6P and was looking for a spare and decied to try the G2. The G2 is lighter than the 6P and has a different grip surface. The G2 does not get has hot as the 6P when in use for more than 15 minutes, otherwise funtion and fit are the same as the 6P
If your looking for a lighter alternative to the 6P, the G2 is a good choice.
not bad..but not great April 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
There are 2 versions of this light. One has clear lens with textured reflector and the other has a frosted lens and clear reflector. I rec'd the later. Not as powerful as I expected...it is bright but not as bright as my Cree P4 flashlight I paid $20 for but does not have 12 burn time... If battery life is important this is your best bet...if brightness is more important...there are better choices out there.
