Amazon.com Product Description
Fashionably modern in design with rounded accents, this Sigg thermal bottle will keep 1 liter (33.8 ounces) of coffee or tea hot hours after it's poured. It features a double-walled stainless steel construction with vacuum insulation, and an easy-to-clean, screw top for simple pouring. This sleek thermal bottle also comes with an integrated, double-walled drinking cup. It keeps drinks hot for up to 6 hours and cold for up to 12 hours. In addition to water and hot beverages, you can also use this bottle to store carbonated beverages and acidic fruit juices.

Sigg bottles are virtually unbreakable and are constructed with no seams, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-proof performance. They also feature Sigg's proprietary baked-on inner liner, which is made from a non-toxic, water-based epoxy resin that exceeds FDA requirements for leaching (0.0 percent) and is independently tested to be taste- and scent-neutral. Every Sigg bottle is 100 percent recyclable at the end of its life, and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

About Sigg
It all started with a simple hiker?s bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Kueng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water?
A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating.

Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating?
A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable.

Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks?
A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top.

Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended.

Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer
A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product   December 1, 2008

Well built and solid like all Sigg products. If you need a solid well made thermos that will keep things hot or cold for hours this is a good choice. Simple screw top which stays on when you pour. No fancy click tops making it easier to clean and more reliable. Simple o-ring seals the top, could probably replace it if needed. I plan to keep this as the last vacuum flask I need.

All round great piece of equipment, I would highly recommend it.

1 out of 5 stars feel kind of being cheated   September 13, 2008

I like the Sigg collection and bought in total
6 thermos and 4 ordinary ones.
However to my dismay, the thermos are made in China.
I could hardly accept the fact @@
Had I known this, I would buy Zojirushi :(

1 out of 5 stars DECEPTIVE   December 26, 2007

It's made in CHINA. All the aluminum bottles have swiss made written on them, so I assumed that the thermos ones (steel) were too since there is nothing written on these bottles. I was looking at the box, and in small print at the bottom it says Made in China. I called the Sigg co. and they said that all their stainless steel products are made in China. They should write that on the bottles!

5 out of 5 stars great for keeping things warm   December 20, 2007

Bought this about a month ago, use it to keep coffee hot on the weekend. Pour a pot in as soon as it is done brewing so that it doesn't scorch. Keeps coffee hot for hours!!!!! The outside doesn't even get warm so it is very insulated. Haven't used it for travel yet so I don't know how leak proof it is but it is great for keeping things hot.
