Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
MSR IsoPro 4 oz. Premium Fuel Canister: The MSR IsoPro 4 oz. Premium Fuel Canister powers your MSR IsoPro canister stove, including the WindPro, SuperFly, and PocketRocket. This premium fuel, an 80/20 blend of isobutane and propane pioneered by MSR, boosts the performance of canister stoves. It outperforms standard butane/propane mixtures and burns clean to reduce soot and clogs. Ideal for shorter trips, the 4 oz. IsoPro canister varies in burn time with each stove.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Does what it does.   September 17, 2008
So, this does what it does. It's small, light, and lets my Pocket Rocket stove do it's job. It isn't good for super cold weather or long trips, as it will run out of fuel. It's rated to boil about ten liters of water (just over two gallons) in summer conditions. Take some aluminum foil to use as a windscreen to make the fuel you have go farther, as well. (Be careful not to over-screen the stove, making it an explosion hazard, apparently.)

If you happen to have a scale good for light weights - like a postal scale - weigh the full canister, subtract 4oz/112g, and measure it when you get back from your trip to figure out what you have left.

3 out of 5 stars Reliable Fuel - for quick overnight trips   November 28, 2005

This is good fuel, but the small canister is suitable only for quick overnight trips when weight is at an absolute premium. I have run out off fuel several times using this size, and now always size up. Smallest size more suitable as a back-up when you don't expect to use fuel at all but still need to carry a stove for emergencies (such as I oftem must on mountain rescue missions).
