Product Description What do you do when things go bump in the night? If you're prepared for the worst, you reach for the E2D Defender, a personal safety device that packs a powerful defensive punch into a very small package. An advanced technology Xenon lamp that produces a spot-free beam so intense it can momentarily blind an attacker (four times more lighting power than a standard two D-cell flashlight), and its crenellated Strike BezelTM allows it to be used as a last-ditch impact weapon. Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum coated in a super rugged military-specification finish, the pocket-size E2D Defender also features an optically-coated Pyrex lens; high-energy, ten-year shelf-life lithium batteries; a stainless steel pocket clip, and law enforcement-style click-on/off momentary switching for blinding flashes or emergency signaling. A patented lock-out tailcap allows the light to be locked in the off position to eliminate accidental activation when stowed away.

Surefire E2D Executive Defender August 13, 2008 Outstanding product, one of the most innovative self defense products put on on the market recently. I highly recommend this, I carry it with me wherever I go do to my line of work. It does everything they say it can. Ridiculous brightness up close even during the daytime. You can beat this thing up, douse it in water etc. and it will keep on going day after day. I recommend buying a couple sets of extra batteries because once it runs out it just shuts right off, it doesn't get dim or weak or anything like that first to warn you. Thats due to the power the high intensity light consumes when it shines. Don't use the weaponized tips unless you have to, those are pretty dangerous meant only for self defense purposes. On the other hand feel free to get a good laugh surprising and temporarily blinding your buddies in the office, etc. with the high intensity beam from time to time! In all seriousness though, fantastic product completely worth the little extra money it costs.
Expensive but well worth it May 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Initially receiving my first E2D as a Xmas present, I now own two of them. They are very light weight, compact, and bright lights. I used to carry a Streamlight Strion all the time. Well, that has been replaced by the E2D. The crenelated bezel and tail cap provides an additional line of defense as a last ditch effort when you have exhausted all other resources.
Given the choices of Streamlight SL20X, Strion, Stinger, and the Surefire E2D (all of which I own), my "carrying" flashlight is the E2D.

Although I had to call the company when I was concerned the product had not arrived in a timely manner, they overnighted it to me and it arrived in a timely manner. I would defintely do business with this company again.
Useful flashlight December 19, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I walk my dog in the early hours and feel a bit more safe with the E2D in my possession. I know that the bezel both front and back will allow me to defend myself. It has a solid grip so the likelyhood of dropping it is lessened. I am truly happy with my E2D.
Love it! December 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Super flashlight! Wish it had a pouch though for storing in a purse. I read that you can get a belt holster, but hey, how about something for gals?
