Product Description This is the most versatile combination heavy bag/speed bag stand on the market. Constructed of heavy duty steel, this speed bag has 25 possible positions and can fit in any corner of the house. A wide footprint allows for increased stability and greater freedom when working out, while the double end tie down decreases heavy bag sway. About Everlast The name Everlast is synonymous with boxing. Renown internationally as a manufacturer of boxing equipment, Everlast started out as a swimwear manufacturer in 1910. Headquartered in the Bronx, NY, the company was founded by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, Jacob Golomb was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits because they barely lasted a season, so he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He proudly gave them the name, Everlast. Although the swimsuits did not last through the years, the name did. Over the next years, Golomb expanded his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. Golomb specially designed the training gear for Dempsey. In 1919, Dempsey won the world?s heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves made for him by Golomb. Everlast became the headquarters for boxing equipment throughout the world. In 1925, Golomb designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as boxer trunks, immediately became famous. Jacob Golomb ran the business until he passed away in the early 1950?s and his son, Dan, took over. In 1958, Ben Nadorf joined Everlast and purchased 50% of the company from the Golomb family. When Dan Golomb passed away in 1995, Nadorf purchased the family?s remaining 50% interest. Nadorf remained the President and Principle Share Holder of Everlast until October 24, 2000. Everlast men?s and women?s apparel and accessories continue today to be tremendously successful both inside and outside the ring. In addition, Everlast boxing trunks and equipment remain the proud and undefeated champion of the boxing industry for more than 90 years. The history continues, as the name states. Everlast has a traditional past and a knockout future. What's in the Box? Everlast heavy bag stand

Everlast Heavy Bag Stand June 4, 2008 Everlast Heavy Bag Stand
Great stand for the money. It's stable without having to add any extra weights to the bottom (which might be need for large/strong men kicking). When I punch and kick the bag, the stand does not tip. I'm extremly satisfied and recommend it. It's a great value.
Missing parts, horrible packaging May 24, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
The first time this product showed up at my door, I refused delivery because the package was destroyed and I was sure there would be major pieces missing. To their credit, Amazon promptly shipped me another, but this time I wasn't around to refuse the delivery. The destroyed box was left on my front porch, and, of course, critical parts of the stand were missing. This may be a good stand, but right now I'm still waiting on the parts that will allow me to assemble it and try it out.
So far so good, HOWEVER! April 28, 2008 This item, once it finally all arrived to my house in one piece, is a good begginner stand and easily holds my 70 lb bag. My only issue was getting it to my house. I qualified for the free shipping, but they had to ship it 4 different times, the first time it was busted, the second the box was too busted it couldnt be delivered so it was shipped back, the third time it was "refused" and by the 4th time i got it ok. Amazon was very good about finding a solution and getting me what I need, however i wonder if they should offer something so heavy if it obviously has problems when it is shipped.
Good stand.....very large April 13, 2008 This is a pretty good stand, but beware it is very large. The pictures were a little deceiving to me. I guess it has to be so it stays in place. Just remember that when you are deciding where to put it. I am sure I will have to take it apart to get it out of my basement. Some have complained about it moving around, but I don't have that problem with a 60lb double end heavy bag. Maybe I don't hit it quite as hard.
Punching bag stand February 25, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Thank you for the punching bag stand. The outside packaging was torn up, but inside there was no damage to the equipment. I have used it with my new punching bag and I am very pleased with this product. Thank you again
