Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
It is amazing that Chinese Manufacture can produce high power airsoft AEG rifle, this is good price for airsoft lover don't want to spend 500~600 dollar for Japan made Tokyo Marui AEG. This airsoft gun comes with a rechargeable battery pack so you don't have to constantly buy new batteries; saving you time and money. The A/C adapter that charges the battery is included. This gun has the full-auto function which shoots the bullets out rapidly when the trigger is squeezed. The safety lock is functional and is a nice feature to have. It also teaches children to set the safely on guns when not in use. Good gun control lesson. We will also include a speed loader. This device is very helpful when you are trying to load your clip in a hurry. Simply load the speed loader with pellets and use the speed loader rod to jam the bullets into the clip. This is a VERY nice feature to have when using this gun in a airsoft battle. We will include instructions with the package. This gun is applicable with the speed loader bottles. You can use the bottle to rapidly refill your ammunitions tank. We are not sure about the firing rate but it is very fast. The firing velocity is rated between 240~280 FPS. This gun also includes a non-magnifying scope .

1 out of 5 stars Please help.   March 29, 2008
I would like to buy this gun, but I don't know if it is gravity-fed. Gravity-feeders are bad because you can't really shoot them up or down, only straight; and they jam too easily. So, please someone tell me if it is loaded with a clip or gravity-fed, thanks.

1 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY FROM AIRSPLAT!!!!   March 11, 2008

WARNING READ FIRST!!!

Airsplat is not the company to but from. This company is known for sending broken gun or completely the wrong gun to your address. I haved ordered from them and received a broken gun. When you try to get another one they make you pay for another and make YOU pay to return that one. AIRSPlAT is a joke DON'T by from them!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars Pretty nice gun for the price!!!   February 11, 2008
Okay firstly I got this gun from Airsplat and they aren't the best bunch to work with, but at least the gun came working anyways, and shipping was fast and on time.

Secondly, I will give my full review of the BE Steyr Military Aug.

Looks:

This gun looks wicked. Wicked is the only word I have for it. If you get it, you will get something out of science fiction that is probably the ultimate alien death pwnage. The barrel on the front is a bit long and it can be somewhat annoying to maneuver quickly, but hey, it's pretty good for a bullpup weapon. For you guys and gals who don't mind a sick-looking airsoft gun, buy this. The only flaw in the BE Aug is that there are several things around the gun that I have no idea what they are cuz Airsplat didn't send me the instructions, like the box says that there is a hop-up mechanism but I have no idea where it is and instead there's just this tiny useless piece that you can push in and out of the gun. If anyone finds out where the hopup is, plz let me know at aviosis1944@gmail.com!!!!

Feel:

When you hold this gun, the back is not as bulky as it seems. The handle is actually pretty close to your body for a bullpup gun. But not too much as to cause discomfort. Oh yeah I gotta warn u all, the front folding handle WILL be extremely flimsy. You can wiggle it not only up, down, and a bit backwards, but from side to side as well. The cocking handle is pretty cool, except when you pull it back it sounds not-so-great, like a small spring inside is being coiled. And at times it can be hard to cock it because the spring is long and doesn't coil easily. THe handle is very comfortable to hold, but if you look closely you'll notice that the handle has a line down the middle, meaning that BE decided to make this gun outta two plastic halves. That means not much durability. Last thing: when you put your cheek on the butt, unless you have a tiny head, you aren't really going to be able to look thru the scope very well. And the butt isn't very comfy to rest your head on.

Performance:

Ah, finally. The moment you've all been waiting for. Now I may be wrong in these testings because hey, it's February and it's pretty windy out. I estimated about 5-10 mph wind on the day of the shooting. I loaded the high cap mag (which is pretty cheap and flimsy as well, and sometimes you have a hard time releasing it because it fits so snugly, but is worth the ten bucks I spent) and put in the 9.6 volt 700 mah ni-cad battery, which was a VERY tight fit, took me like ten minutes to get it into the butt ("ni-cad" - watch out guys, memory effect!!! Try getting a large type 8.4 battery with higher mah, the battery runs out after like two or three high caps!) I let rip on our pal Osama from about twenty feet away. All shots hit, amazingly. And on full auto, I was able to maintain really great accuracy even standing and with the wind and all that. Oh yea this gun is BEAST on full auto. At LEAST 700 to 800 BB's per minute. Not your average low powered airsoft gun, huh? Even at fifty-eighty feet and on, I was able to hit Osama at least ten out of fifteen times on semi auto and at least seven times on fully auto. I recommed trashing the scope. No, realy, throw it away. It doesn't magnify and is actually two very cheap plastic pieces put together with two pieces of clear plastic at either end. Use the sights instead. And get yourself several high cap mags.

Goodies:

The gun came with the gun (no duh), an unjammer, a 9.6 volt 700 mah ni-cad battery, a battery charger, a cheap scope, two sights (front + back - these are kinda weird but they work well), a pack of 100-200 BB's or so (terribly cheap quality! Throw away and do NOT USE), safety glasses (which are really tight, or do I just have a big head LOL), a 40-round mag (buy two or three high caps), speed loader (holds 120 BB's), and yours may come with instructions. If not then print them out from Airsplat. Oh and if you wanna mount the sights make sure you have a small screw driver.

Closing remarks:

Overall I was pretty impressed with this gun. Very nice accuracy for an LPEG, very nice realism effects, very nice and sturdy for a plastic gun, very high rate of fire (warning! you will get low on ammo! buy more mags or use semi-auto!), very comfy to hold and maneuver, and basically, that's all, folks!

FPS: NOT 200!!! At LEAST 250!!!
Weight: About 3-4 pounds, kinda hefty
Length: about 800mm or so
length of barrel: about 500 mm or so
mag cap: Most I ever fit into it was 42
Should you buy it: HECK YEAH!!!

2 out of 5 stars watch what u buy   February 2, 2008
I recieved this gun in the mail and of course the first thing i do is shoot it. But when i went to shoot it the BBs shot about 3 feet. Actually sometimes it wouldnt even shoot and then 2 BBs would just fall out. I did have a couple good shots that went across the street but there would always be atleast 5 or 7 that would just drop from the barrel. The scope that comes with the gun honestly sucks. There isnt any site its just glass. I looked into the gun more and then I figured out that the BBs were getting jammed in the slot that the magazine goes in. I'm trying to find a way to fix this gun, but just make sure your making the right choice when you buy your gun. Oh and one more thing, if you decide to buy this gun make sure you get an extra magazine because for being electric, this gun doesnt hold much. Though it may just be because my gun is jammed but it still only holds about 20-30 rounds.

4 out of 5 stars Great starter gun   January 14, 2008
Allright, I got this gun for Xmas, which was about two weeks ago. I've not actually used it in battle yet, but it's excellent so far. Detail is spot on, its fairly good quality (With some exceptions, see below) and pretty good range.

Range: I'd say 50 feet or so, you can still hit a tree the size of a human
Power: Low, but good. I think 200 FPS is about accurate, maybe more
Flaws: Fore grip. It snapped the first day, its get this weird metal/plastic hybrid part connecting it the gun. Its weird. Also, a part where the magazine goes, and the BB enters the chamber broke. It was a really weird part, with plastic base, as plastic tube, and another plastic peice to hold it together, with a really strong spring in between. Some glue and new, larger screws and haven't heard a thing since.

Get extra clips, its get a VERY high rate of fire, and it chews through the 50 round clip like nothing.

Battery may come precharged, Im not sure, I started charging it before I actually looked at the reviews.

Instructions are crap. It labels parts, gives you a basic how to, and thats it. Takes some tinkering and guessing to figure some things out.

Lastly, the sights that come with it suck. The scope is better then the open sights, they seem really high and uncomfortable to use, so use the scope.
