Customer Reviews:
Nice and loud October 1, 2008 Having never coached volleyball, I purchased this whistle for security. I'm satisfied with the product. I find it loud enough to get someone's attention. The included lanyard is handy for attaching to a key fob in your purse.
Not really sure what the volleyball thing is about August 12, 2008 I bought this whistle thinking it would be a great whistle....and it's ok. I just can't seem to figure out what the true difference is between this one and a typical whistle. Perhaps I don't understand because I'm not referee for volleyball games...but I think a regular whistle will do fine for most people. I got both because the price was right.
Very nice whistle January 25, 2008 I use this whistle for volleyball officiating and like it a lot. The design seems to make it so that not as much of the noise goes towards me while I am blowing it. This is a big plus for me because when officiating a volleyball game as the main official you are blowing the whistle about twice for each rally. So that can be 60-100 times per game, with the Fox 40 it would really start to hurt my ears.
Nice October 17, 2007 Just like the VB whistle I remember when I was playing VB (the shape). I was surprised that no one at the gym saw a whistle like this before. However the sound is a bit stronger that I expected. I was expecting a slightly different sound from a VB whistle.
Not so great August 10, 2006 I thought it would be ergonomic and powerful but it really requires a good bit of air.
