The Equinox offers dual AirCore shoulder straps made of comfortable dual-density foam, with breathable mesh back straps for increased air circulation. More significantly, the daypack's two large main compartments can hold everything from sack lunches to rain gear to first-aid kits. Add in a front utility pocket with an organizer for essentials and a side-mesh water bottle pocket and you have plenty of storage for both full-day hikes and school outings. Other details include side compression straps to help keep the pack close to the body and manage the load, daisy-chain quick clip points, reflective zipper pulls for nighttime visibility, lashing straps for a jacket or rain gear, and a haul loop for larger items. As always, I'm pleased with this jansport pack. Although not designed as a laptop bag, it carries a macbook pro 15" in addition to college texts, and becomes a hiking daypack on the weekends.

This pack has all the bells & whistles you'll need for a long day on the trail. Plenty of pockets, pouches, compartments, etc. High quality construction should guarantee years of heavy use.

I bought this backpack for my 17 year old son to use for high school. He's very pleased and I'm sure it is sturdy enough to serve him in college. I was afraid it would be too big, but the size is fine.

This is an amazing bag to own. It is designed with 3 great pockets, comes in various colors and distributes weight evenly reducing a heavy carry load. A great hybrid between a campers backpack and a school bookbag. A definite 5/5 recommendation for this product. Plus ,cant beat the life-time warranty provided by Jansport!

This is a pretty nice backpack. It is large enough to fit a pair of athletic shoes, clothes, my lunch, a book, and everything a lady would carry in a purse. The material it's made out of seems pretty water-resistant and durable. If anything I would say it has excessive straps and bands on it.
