This little number is not only amazing to look at, it is very user friendly! I used the cup for hot tea and coffee many times on my latest camping/hiking trip! The cap coupled with a carabiner adds peace-of-mind security while in transit! Highly, Highly Recommended!!!!!

Looks great, works great, a little heavy. 170 g for the flask alone, without cap, cup, or strap. Compare that to 130 g for a 1L SIGG aluminum bottle. However, like all the SIGG stainless products, it is made in China. Don't be fooled by the "SWISS MADE" imprint near the threads of the cap. The cap is, but the rest isn't. It's kind of disappointing that SIGG has stooped to hiding the details about their products, which is why I'm knocking off one star.

This is such an elegant design I couldn't resist it. I wanted a travel flask for longer trips, and I chose this for the job.
It's a little small for a canteen or water bottle if you want to use it for hiking, but it's a perfect size to hold 'the good stuff' for an extended weekend camping trip. The attached cup is a little strangely shaped for a coffee mug, and far too big for a shot glass, but it works. I have read in other forums that people use the cup to heat water over the campfire or camp stove. Both are sturdy stainless steel construction.
The rounded shape of the bottle is quite attractive, though there's a practical side-effect. Due to the rounding, the base is relatively small with respect to the bottle size and height, so it's not incredibly stable sitting on a flat surface, and certainly precarious on uneven terrain like a picnic table.
Other reviews are correct when they say the cup, bottle, and strap can all be easily detached from each other. The bottle fits rather loosely in the cup so they rattle around a bit when carried in the nesting configuration. I'll likely leave the cup at home most of the time. The cap is much like any other sigg bottle, it fits snugly and the finger hole is comfy to carry by. It seems to be sturdy enough to clip on with a carabiner, though I'd loop a piece of rope or webbing in between to avoid cracking the plastic with a rigid biner.
The thin metal wall of this flask transmits heat and cold easily, and with its black color it heats up liquids quite readily in the sun. So if you want better insulation, you might want to consider the neoprene sleeve they sell for it. Amazon doesn't seem to have it but I've seen it elsewhere.
I saw it, loved it, bought it, and have no regrets.

I bought this water bottle mainly because it seemed just so darned cool. The removable cup seems like a neat idea, but I must admit that I have never actually used the cup as a cup. i've taken it off, played with the little handles, noticed the dust and dirt that had collected in there and put it back together. Keep in mind that there is a brown leather strap holding the flask to the cup, and it can be removed from either end, meaning if you don't need the heavy cup you can leave it behind (something i can't bring myself to do because that completely negates the cool-looking factor of the bottle.) Because of the cup this thing is a bit heavy. The cup is actually heavier than the bottle itself, but really, the heaviest part is the water. I cannot imagine taking this hiking, it's too small and too heavy for that.
I have found that the water tastes pretty darn good in this bottle, no metallic flavor. The bottle itself tastes metallic if you happen to put your lip on the inner thread, something that only happens occasionally.
For some reason i have a really hard time getting the lid to screw in straight, although i'm not entirely convinced that isn't just ineptitude on my part. The little loop in the top is a good size for hooking a finger through, and while you are drinking it just stays obtrusively hooked on a finger (so as not to get germy from putting it down on something) Because this flask is oval it has a small footprint and tips over easily in a bag or car, however i have never had any problems with the lid leaking. The cup is a bit more round than the flask, leaving a quarter-inch(?) gap between the two on the sides. This causes the bottle to rattle a little bit while carrying it by the top loop. I don't really see this as an issue? Because the bottle is hard to see into while filling sometimes i have overfilled the bottle causing a small amount of overflow, not a big deal right? Later I was drinking water out of my totally awesome vintage style flask and SPLASH! out pours a bunch of water all down my shirt and on my lap. The cup had collected the water from the overflow, and when i tipped the bottle to drink it poured out. Be careful of that!
My two main problems with the bottle are that it's so heavy (although this is only because of the cup), and it's just not big enough. It also happens to be on the pricey side.
My favourite parts? The oval shape fits nicely in a bag, metal construction means no BPA leaching, and it's pretty darn cool.
