Product Description The flexible design of the Platypus 1-liter bottle makes it easier to pack, more convenient and lighter than hard-sided bottles. Platypus bottles are also taste-free and easy to fill. The collapsible design allows you to roll up the bottle for easy compact packing. Yet, they're still tough enough to be frozen or boiled. Gusseted bottom helps the bottle stand upright for easier filling. Closure cap makes this version ideal for carrying extra water in your pack.

Very convenient. July 3, 2008 I carry water everywhere and this is this easiest most spill proof system I have used in 10 years. I have several of them that I keep in the refrigerator and rotate them through. So glad to get out of the plastic water bottles habit!
Water bottle March 16, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this mainly because it becomes flat when it's empty. Makes storing easy. However, I wish I had bought a larger bottle.
Great alternative to other plastic bottles February 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this bottle after toting around a broken leaky lexan bottle for too long. I read far too many reports about the dangers of plastic leaching chemicals into water. The platypus is made from a supposedly more friendly polyethylene, can be boiled, and collapses so small it can fit into a pocket when its empty. It does take a day to get used to drinking out of it though (you will likely need two hands). I would never go back to a Nalgene style wide mouth (that I used to spill all over myself).
Recommened for your regular watter bottle December 9, 2007 I've had my same Playtpus bottle for a couple of years now. It is very durable and light-weight. The screw-on cap has that kind of lock feeling at the very end of the twist. The small indents in the sides of the bottle make it easier to grip with one hand. It stands-up easily and can be rolled-up if it is empty. It's a way cooler alternative to any other more conventional water bottle.
great! November 26, 2007 This is actually a great water bottle. It's much sturdier than it looks. I keep it in my gym bag, along with shoes and stuff, and it gets jostled all day long, and still stays strong. The cap seals tightly; I've never had spills. And it also stands upright once it's filled (the bottom expands out to a circle).
