I love these sandals. It took two days for my foot with a bunion to break the sandal in and since they have been totally comfortable. They're great for walking and I love the toe caps. For klutzy people like me, the protection is nice!
I read lots of reviews before buying these. I'd like to counter some of the negatives and agree with one, if it can be called a negative:
1/ Several people recommended buying one size up. I ordered my regular shoe size, which was more than roomy enough.
2/ Some people claimed their feet smelled after wearing the Keens. The soles actually smell like vanilla, and if my feet smell at all, it's like vanilla. A coworker actually commented that I smelled good when I walked by after being outside on a hot day!
3/ People said they pick up sand. I found this to be true even when walking across a parking lot. Something about the cupped heel and sole does make it hard to remove sand or grit without taking them off. But I consider it a small drawback to the most comfortable sandals I've ever had.

Newport Leather Faded Clay Sandal -Ladies
My mother has admired my Keen Newports and I decided to get her some for Mother's Day. The leather ones are so hard to find in a color I liked. Things seems to have gone the way of the H2s. I got her the Newport Leather in Rum Raisin/Plum Kitten. I've never seen a plum kitten, but whatever. The shoes are a really nice red-brown color that actually occurs in nature.
She says they are the most comfortable shoes she ever wore. She and my Dad immediately went out of town and did a lot of walking and they needed no breaking in whatsoever.
I did really well for Mother's Day. She will probably wear them several times a week.
As for mine, I have had them for years. They show a little wear, mostly a slight "maturing" of the color compared to Mom's. They didn't stretch out, I love the stretchy no-tie lace, the sole is not separating and hasn't compressed much. The stitching is intact. I have been through water and mud. I will soon order another pair, but considering how much I have worn them and to have them still be serviceable is pretty impressive.
For anyone who has ever started out on a nice dog walk and has ended up chasing said dog through the woods for an hour, these are the perfect shoes for you!

I love Keens! I discovered them in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Now I own four pair.
