Great for dayhikes and school November 9, 2008 Have used this bag for almost a year now and couldn't be happier. I use it for college luging books and then also as a daypack for hiking. The laptop compartment works great as a hydration bladder storage area and holds two 2l bladders perfectly for those hot summer treks. The suspension strap system carries the load well and fits my 240# 6' frame great. The rain fly works like a champ. After lugging around all my books and then doing double duty as a hiking pack, I have seen no damage to any stitching at all, just a little fraying on the zipper pulls. There is an adequate number of compartments to stay organized. A great value...
High Sierra rucksack October 30, 2008 I bought this backpack (rucksack in Europe, I think) because it would fit under an airplane seat, and would hold lots of stuff for day hiking in Germany for two weeks. It was just what I wanted, better than backpacks for value and my purposes that I found in sporting goods stores here in Huntsville, Al. This Access Pack will hold my computer on business trips in the US. It has lots of pockets to hold documents, jackets, food, first aid kit, etc.
High Sierra Backpack October 21, 2008 Love the laptop holder and the many pockets. Great for carrying a few days worth of clothes and laptop to avoid paying luggage fees.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE July 18, 2008 The backpack from High Sierra lasted me about 2 years until I needed to have it replaced. I contacted High Sierra CS and they sent me an email within the hour. I had returned the backpack to them by warranty and they decided to replace it at no cost to me. I asked for a different color and they gave me a choice of colors. I sent at least 5 emails to them and the CS has been outstanding. Thanks a lot.
The backpack is built pretty well but mine started to smell after a while. I have no idea why, it just did.
Great bag!! January 27, 2008 This is really a great bag. It is very roomy. It's a little bit on the heavy side, but if you're putting a lot of things in it then it's well worth your money. For the most optimal comfort, you have to use the straps that go across your chest and waist. That really takes the load off your back some.
