 lovely-i suggest a 1/2 size bigger than your normal one! November 26, 2008
I read the reviews and I'm so glad I did - because I normally take 7 1/2 and picked the 8 - there's now breathing room for my toes (and thick socks in the snow!) and also I can JUST BARELY zip up the calf! This is a common problem with boot designs-they seem to think we just have a stick below our knees, no beautiful muscular curves...or just beautiful curves! But the boots are just what I expected, really lovely.

Adorable, amazingly comfortable, very warm.. but they're freakin' falling apart and I've only had them for two weeks. A shame..

These boots are a great product! I ordered my regular shoe size, and as long as I wear extra thick socks (which I do when the weather warrants these boots) they fit fine. The zipper on the inside of the calf is discrete, and makes getting the boots on simple. I love the height; it makes accidentally stepping into a snowdrift no big deal. I've worn them in snow, slush, and ice, and they give great style to an otherwise depressing northern Ohio climate. I've gotten compliments each time I wear them and inquiries about where I purchased them. Most of all, they keep my feet nice and toasty with the suede, sheepskin, and rabbit fur combination of materials. I am resigned that outdoor all-weather boots won't look great for long, so I didn't treat them with any protective material. As result, there are some stains on the boots, but it's due to my treking around, not a product deficiency. You won't be sorry if you purchase these!

I purchased these boots for my daughter and gave them to her for Christmas. She loved them and wore them almost every day in January and February. They are comfortable and cute. However, when I saw her at the end of February she wasn't wearing them and I asked her why...she can't wear them any more because they fell apart... the zipper broke on one boot and the soles separated from the upper part of the boot. I thought that Bearpaw boots would be a higher quality and wouldn't fall apart in several months of wear. I wouldn't recommend this boot for anyone (like a college student) that has to rely on this boot for their primary footwear.

These boots weren't made for walking, in my opinion. The ankle area is a bit stiff and by the time I got home from work, my feet were killing me. I have skinny ankles though, so maybe someone with bigger ankles will have better luck with them. I did, however, receive many compliments on how cute they are. And they truly are. I'm sure once I break them in, they will be more comfortable. I found them true to size. I bought a half size bigger than my original and they are a tad big.
