The tanks are made of high-density polyethylene in a one-piece, leak-proof design and can be emptied completely. A double-sealed drain valve protects against leakage and odors. Heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant side latches lock the tanks together. Featuring a comfortable, sturdy full-size seat with lid, the toilet flushes much like a residential toilet and has a matte finish to conceal scratches. A built-in handle facilitates transport. Bought this product for a family trip to be used in our minivan. The kids like the flushing aspect like a "real" toilet, one reason I picked this over more expensive ones. Read that the 5 gal. tipped over; it was TOP heavy. Well, this one is too, not to mention that the bottom is not "flat" per se, and is narrower than the top. It tipped over a couple of times (empty, except water), so I purchased a plastic 28 qt. costume box from Walmart to stabilize it, which fit the bottom perfectly, and it still tipped over. So, the moral of the story kids is ... if you buy this, you have to tie this ... down.

We found this item to be very easy to use and portable. The seat seems a little small for the average size adult, but it works. Easy to disassemble, empty and reassemble. No need to buy special anti-odor products, just pour in a little Mr Clean (or something similar) after you empty it each time. We empty daily to ensure it doesn't get too heavy to carry. We don't put toilet paper in it and this makes it easier to empty.

This was the best thing I ever bought for camping. My husband thought I was crazy but when we woke up in the morning and we did not have to walk a half a mile to the bathroom he was thanking me for buying it. Everyone should have one.
Better than a trip down a spiral staircase at night August 13, 2008

We bought this toilet to take on vacation with us for two weeks. We were staying in an A frame cottage with one bathroom with our family of nine. My husband and I put this toilet in our bedroom that was upstairs - up a little spiral staircase. It was very nice to not have to come down the staircase at night. The toilet traps odors VERY well. It never made our room have a bad odor. We emptied it every day, and I will admit that that was not a pleasant job, but we decided it was worth it. Do buy deodorizer. That makes the emptying job less disgusting. I am 46, and a bit pudgy, and using the toilet was no problem for me. I could not have used it easily last summer, when I weighed 50 pounds more, however. It is a little low to the ground, so someone who is not spry might not be able to use it easily.

Expecting company to use the RV in which the toilet facilites were not working, I placed this order....it came the very day I needed it...three days after ordering it! The product is wholly satisfactory...and i am very pleased not only with the product, but the company realized it was a holiday weekend and shipped it out promptly to arrive just in time. Had they waited, conditions would not have been good......thank you so much.
